Okay long ramble incoming, since more peeps wanted to know about cyborg Tony.
When everyone else finds out and sees what Tony has done to himself, things are extremely awkward. It doesn’t help either that Tony is still mentally wrecked. He keeps fluctuating between different moods. One being him completely robotic, which is due to the fact he’s currently surfing the web through his mind (kinda like Ghost in the Shell, or Extremis.) Making his movements eerily precise and coordinated.
Then theres moments when he acts like his ‘normal’ sassy self, but it’s just a front, and it’s this mood that disturbs everyone the most, as Tony acts nonchalant as he explains how he ripped his arm out and started connecting wires to his nerves like he was just baking a cake.
Then the last mood, which is one that only Steve experiences for awhile in the beginning, is like depressed mode 2000. Tony gets morose and self-deprecating to the extreme, and becomes very withdrawn and fragil. It’s as vulnerable as he can get and it takes all his energy to just talk let alone move.
The rest of the team are not sure what to make of all this. In the beginning Clint and Natasha are just like, there goes Stark again, but they soon realize this is more serious than that. Thor doesn’t quite understand why Tony would feel the need to physically destroy himself, and Bruce is horrified, yet unsure how to even approach this matter, but does his best to help Tony with any medical needs.
In short, everyone is shell-shocked at first but slowly realizes just how deeply Tony hates himself and they all learn how to try and mend together.
