I dunno how to tell you this, but saying "gendered term (gender neutral)" doesn't actually make it gender neutral. If you care then just use an actual gender neutral phrase. "Y'all" fits just about anywhere "dudes" or "guys" would fit.

every time a law is passed under a header stopping just shy of being, like, "the exterminate all trannies act 2023" inevitably there's a discussion on here going on about how some slight minutiae of it is worded incorrectly, and that such a law will affect real cis women too! the horror. except, of course, it never does and never will, because that simply isn't the - extremely clear cut - intent behind it! and all we get out of this charade is people using it as an excuse to completely separate trans women from being the victims of their own oppression, as it happens, in real time. wunderbar.

man everybody acts like trans women’s segregation from sport isn’t like, a big deal, too. like every two years when a new olympics event rolls around we see the same articles being rewritten about how the olympics’ transphobia hurts cis people, but i’ve never seen anybody seriously call for trans women to be allowed in sport on this website. like it’s supposed to be a big deal that a few cis women are stopped from participating in the olympics every year but it is so normal to exclude trans women that this somehow is skipped in the discussion like, well obviously they’re never gonna let trannies in so why even talk about it when real women are being stopped?

that's a huge discrepancy, and the majority of it comes from the industry refusing to fairly compensate writers for the work they do that ends up on (or is exclusively for) streaming services, not from anything related to chatgpt.
