when ariel is wearing eric’s hat after they come back to the castle from their day out and ariel so adorably puts it back on his head and walks off to her room and eric softly says

“goodnight… ariel” and she smiles sweetly at him

the man had it so BAD for her

A film set to unwinnable expectations. Too “woke” for having Halle Bailey play Ariel; not “woke” enough because it is still a classic fairytale written by Hans Christian Andersen in 1837, where a princess falls in-love with a prince.

What I saw was a fabulous live-action adaptation. The acting & music is truly on-point.

Disney also added backstory to the Prince, which was very worthwhile storytelling. Visually, it was a stunning movie. The water effects on the hair are a sight-to-behold. And if you’ve seen Pirates of the Caribbean, it is that style/mood mixed with Disney magic & great songs.

Though the 2023 live-action will never be our cartoon imagination from childhood, the original film from 1989 will always be there for us to watch over-and-over again.

However, if you watch the other live-action Disney adaptations, this one truly is the best one by far. Some just want to hate it for whatever reason.

Halle Bailey did a phenomenal job as Ariel & I saw many African American kids in the audience at the theatre. Representation matters ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Go see The Little Mermaid!! It is the right film for the moment — a moment where Disney is being banned in Florida.

Sing & celebrate under the sea with this truly amazing film!! Go Halle Go!! Our Disney heroine 🧜🏾‍♀️

so it turns out Hillary Clinton literally used slaves but theres still losers on here who call her a #woke feminist or some shit

fucked up

People think Hillary Clinton, then First Lady of Arkansas, implemented this system? Not only does a First Lady have no control over this, but it was her husband who was the actual Governor. Sexism yet again. Holding the woman accountable for her husband.

These were state of Arkansas employees. Not direct employees of the Clintons.

Has this person even been to Arkansas? Apparently not.

Lots of states have used prison labor for decades. Again – these were state of Arkansas employees. Not direct employees of the Clintons.

Stop holding Hillary accountable for Bill being Governor.

But the fact that she wrote favorably about it in her book and spoke about them like an actual plantation owners mistress means….

Real question: how do you live with yourself? Nobody even implied she started this. But You’re not even willing to say anything negative about prison slave labor because Hillary supported it. Do you have any actual principles or morals?

So now it’s “the way” Hillary wrote about it?? I guess Hillary just can’t ever do anything right.

Hillary was explaining the rationale behind it. Nothing more. Nothing less.

And who says all the prison labor was African American?

Hillary investigated African American juveniles being put in adult prisons in South Carolina when she worked for the Children’s Defense Fund. Hillary also posed as a racist housewife to expose segregation in schools.

Why don’t we talk about what *HILLARY* has done rather than what the state of Arkansas has been doing for decades (including when her *HUSBAND* was the Governor)?

Holy Shit shut up, you’ve been obsessively laboring the past 24 hours copying & pasting that response into every single post about HRC supporting prison slave labor you could hunt down.

You don’t give a shit about these people. You don’t have morals concerning this. This is nothing beyond some PR Campaign/tumblr fandom to you.

You’re so busy desperately grasping for straws to justify it (to the point where you ask ‘how do you even know they were all black?!’ Like…really?) that you won’t even pretend to acknowledge she was objectively wrong in this. Prison labor is absolutely awful no matter who exploits it, and that’s been an ongoing discussion on this website. It’s just horrifying for people to learn that Hillary was gladly a part of it.

So you are going to keep ignoring Hillary’s history fighting racism at the Children’s Defense Fund????

remember that time when hillary yelled at BLM and told them to basically shut up or that time she was responsible for the assassination of berta cacerez or that time she sat by and let “”“laborers”“” work in the governors mansion. in the south. and when she called black children “super predators”, and we know she was referencing black children because the speech was for the violent crime control and law enforcement act that was responsible for sending black ppl to prison at disproportionate numbers so . are u like willfully ignorant or do you just REALLY love racist white women

The gun violence Mother’s, most of whom were African American, supported Hillary in 2016. We had an Assault Weapons Ban and the Brady Bill during the Clinton years.

Hillary met with BLM multiple times. That one female member was yelling at Hillary during a speech. Hillary rightfully told her she was a rude snot. But again – Hillary had multiple official meetings with BLM.

Bernie voted for the ‘94 crime bill. Hillary never referenced any race in her “super predator” quote. Re-read it again.

Oh and this is a quote that was said after the ‘94 crime bill had already passed. A quote she has apologized for.

Instead of focusing on one-term she used one time (and has apologized for), lets focus on… Hillary investigating African American juveniles being put in adult prisons in South Carolina while she worked for the Children’s Defense Fund. And Hillary posing as a racist housewife to expose segregation in schools.

PS: Bernie voted for the ‘94 crime bill. It was a bipartisan bill. Learn history.

i read the quote and i also know what the bill did so when she says super predators im not stupid i know what race she was talking about & do u think i care about bernie how is he relevant right now skjsbsjabs and sneatie so u think its ok for white ppl to tell black ppl to shut up when theyre asked to take responsibility for the racist comments they made? bc thats what that protestor was doing lol and you completely ignored my comment about berta? shes responsible for her death AND the deportation of a honduran refugees(and even publicly defended the call to deport central american child refugees) and she sat back and let slaves work in the governors mansion so uh again are u stupid or do u just rly rly love racist white women this is so funny

But the ‘94 crime bill passed prior to the “super predator” comment being made? It was a bipartisan bill even Bernie voted for. Historical context is important.

Hillary said the term once and apologized for it. But the use of one-term doesn’t eliminate all the work she did at the Children’s Defense Fund.

It is rude to yell during someone’s speech. Hillary met with BLM numerous times. That rude woman was rogue and not representative of the official meetings Hillary had with BLM.

And again – Hillary got lots of support from gun control activists due to the Clintons work during the 1990s (Assault Weapons Ban & the Brady Bill). The African American Mother’s Against Gun Violence endorsed Hillary.

According to you, everyone working in government is/was complicit in the use of slave labor. You have a double standard.

they knew what they were doing when they wrote that bill lmao are u seriously trying to say the us gov didnt know that they were going to send black people to prison at disproportionate rates? like its the us gov. and ok woohoo she said it once and apologized doesnt erase it from happening sneatie :-) and angry protestors are a part of being a politician and she had every right to yell and be angry at hillary so again, are you saying poc, ESPECIALLY black ppl, dont have a right to be angry at white politicians who have harmed them or their community? like um. if u say something racist in the past and dont take responsibility for it youre gonna get called the fuck out and you keep on ignoring the berta part and deportation part of what im saying? why is that? and no shit stupid the us gov uses prisoners as modern slaves its not that hard of a concept to grasp and why do u love racist corrupt white women so much?

In regards to the bipartisan ‘94 crime bill even Bernie voted for: why would the Clintons purposely alienate a core part of their voting base? Seems weird to pass a bill you know will hurt a core part of your voting base?

Many African Americans appreciated the work the Clintons did in regards to inner city gun violence – Assault Weapons Ban & the Brady Bill.

And Hillary did take responsibility. She apologized.

But the single use of one-term doesn’t eliminate all the work she did at the Children’s Defense Fund.
1. Hillary investigating African American juveniles being put in adult prisons in South Carolina.

2. Hillary posing as a racist housewife to expose segregation in schools.

“but what has Hillary ACCOMPLISHED?”

Yeah, okay, I’m gonna do one more of these.

Because it’s an ugly sexist myth that Hillary Clinton has never gotten anything done, and Donald keeps saying it anyway, because he knows his supporters will never bother to look it up. (Also to distract from his own record of bankruptcies and lawsuits and not getting an Emmy.)

And even on the left, you get people saying “how can we trust Clinton, even if her positions sound good, how can we know if she’ll follow through?”

Gee, I dunno, maybe we can look at her forty-year track record and extrapolate from there.

(Buckle up, this one’s gonna get long.)

In fact, let’s go back farther, let’s look at Hillary Rodham the Wellesley undergrad, 1965-1969:

And then let’s talk about Hillary the law student, lawyer, and professor, with some First Lady of Arkansas thrown in:

Let’s talk about First Lady Clinton, 1993-2001:

HRC followed that by immediately getting elected Senator from New York, and then re-elected by an even wider margin, so she served from 2001-2009.

I’m just gonna focus on the 77 bills Senator Clinton sponsored or cosponsored that that became law (although she introduced more than 2000, so imagine what could’ve happened with a Democratic majority):

At this point she was also running for President, but in swept Barack Obama and charmed the hearts of America, so Clinton ended up serving as his Secretary of State from 2009-2013.

There’s no Big Flashy Showpiece you can point to from Secretary Clinton’s tenure. A lot of her diplomatic work was straight-up post-Bush-administration repair work and maintenance. A lot of it was, frankly, unsexy. No one writes breathless headlines about statistically-supported initiatives to distribute lifesaving low-pollution stoves.

Also, she didn’t singlehandedly bring peace to the Middle East. So, y’know, missed opportunity there.

A quick roundup of some things Secretary Clinton pulled off just fine:

People keep talking about how Clinton is, historically, one of the most unpopular presidential candidates. Those people usually don’t mention how, three years ago, she was the most popular politician in the United States.

And, look: no one is saying she’s only done good things. You can’t work this long in politics and expect to make only the right choices – follow only the strongest intelligence – back only the best policies. Reasonable people can find plenty to disagree with in her record. Plenty to criticize.

But when people try to claim she’s done nothing?

Or that she doesn’t have any consistent beliefs or principles – that her record doesn’t have constant themes that she’s been reliably standing for since the 1970s?

Hillary Clinton has made real, substantial progress for women’s rights.

Real, substantial progress for people with disabilities.

Real, substantial progress for the rights and protections of children.

Anyone tries to tell you otherwise, you laugh in their faces and start listing things. I bet you anything they run out of patience before you run out of list.

Living well truly is the best revenge. Remember: 2016 was not a result of 2-time popular vote loser Trump — but because of Comey & Russia. Any man with Hillary’s articulate hyper intelligence would have been President decades ago. In a way, Hillary is the forever “undefeatable” candidate. What I mean is… she already lived in the White House for 8 years. Her & Bill’s legacy will forever be the prosperous 1990s.

Currently, the Clintons are traveling the globe — celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Peace Agreement in Northern Ireland.

We had the lowest levels of global conflict under the Clintons. Wealth was beginning to spread more evenly throughout society. 7 million lifted up from poverty. Incomes went up for everyone. Minimum-wage up. Implemented the assault weapons ban, Family & Medical Leave Act, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program.

Bill & Hill will always sleep well at night. And our country would be in much better shape if they were in the White House again.

So glad they are both taking a victory lap around the globe.

Funny how “lock her up” might actually turn into “lock him up.” Oh how fate & destiny have a strange way of working out.

Keep living your best life, Hillary!!

What was it about films with mice? Maybe it was fun to see the human world from their perspective & how they utilized human items in their daily lives. But all I know is — these films hold a special place in my heart.

The characters are adorable & there truly is a special quality about these overlooked (& sometimes forgotten) films about mice.

A familiar & cozy world of hand-drawn mice. So very endearing & pure-hearted.

I much prefer this animation style. Nostalgic & comforting. Simply the best! We will never forget you ❤️❤️❤️❤️

There is a reason Republicans fear Hillary Rodham Clinton. She is vowing to rebuild the Democratic Party from the ground up – everywhere.

Bernie Sanders talks about a “political revolution.”  Meanwhile, the Clintons have been building a “political infrastructure” for the last 40 years that will change the system through the system.

The Clintons have deep roots in the South [areas Obama is highly unpopular in]. Due to the President’s unpopularity in many parts of the U.S.A [to no fault of his own], the GOP now controls 68 out of 98 partisan state legislative chambers due to the “Obama-era wipeout.”

This wipeout has resulted in Texas restricting access to abortion by closing virtually every single Planned Parenthood facility within their borders. Women now have to drive hours for access to safe, legal abortion. Don’t think state parties matter? Look no further than Texas. Look no further than voting rights being restricted throughout the South. Or the gerrymandering and re-districting that has led to a wave of GOP wins across our most ignorant regions. Women, children, and families are hurting because of this.

Honestly – we are fortunate to have Hillary Rodham Clinton running for President at this critical moment. Let me explain:

I live on the West coast and my friend who was born and raised in Arkansas still, to this day, loves the Clintons. The Arkansas airport is named the “Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport.” The joke in Arkansas was that they elected the “wrong” Clinton.

While in Arkansas, Hillary worked for the Children’s Defense Fund, the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Legal Services, cofounded the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, secured federal funds to expand medical facilities in Arkansas’s poorest areas as chair of the Rural Health Advisory Committee, successfully reformed the Arkansas education system as chair of the Arkansas Educational Standards Committee while Bill was Governor, and became the first female partner of the Rose Law Firm.

“If Clinton’s argument against him is that he cannot be elected, his argument against her is that she’s spent 20 years doing anything to be elected.”

Well, yes, Bernie. But she’s always been fighting for American families ever since her days in Arkansas [my friend can vouch for that]. And if I recall, incomes rose at all levels during the 1990s – the Clintons were a net-positive for Americans.

As First Lady of the United States, Hillary increased research funding for prostate cancer and childhood asthma at the National Institutes of Health, helped to create the Office on Violence Against Women and the Campaign Against Teenage Pregnancy which reduced abortion rates by providing women with accurate information and contraception, in addition to highly significant achievements such as the Adoption and Safe Families Act, the Foster Care Independence Act, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program, which currently provides 8+ million children with health insurance.

Hillary fought for unions and a higher minimum wage as New York Senator [despite corporate contributions]. Hillary is smart enough to know it takes $$$ to beat $$$, though she and Bill have never forgotten their middle-class roots. Hillary and Bernie voted together in the Senate 93% of the time. Bernie has no accomplishments. Bill and Hillary Clinton have results from playing and winning the game of politics.

Hillary has always stood with women, the middle-class, children, the under-privileged – the invisible. Stop the character assassination against Hillary. Haters have been hating since the 1990s.

CONCORD, N.H. — Hillary Clinton had a message to relay in private meetings with state and local Democrats during her highly-choreographed swings through Iowa and New Hampshire this month: let me help you.
The implication? She’ll fix the party infrastructure that withered under President Barack Obama.
The Democratic front-runner has stressed the importance of bolstering — and in the case of Iowa, rebuilding — the state parties from the ground up, as they received scant national attention since 2008. Some Democrats even pin the blame on the president himself.
Clinton’s pitch is especially resonant in Iowa, where her team is already encouraging rural Democrats to run for their school boards and county commissions.

Commentator #1 @ 1:50 (when they do a close-up on Hillary): “Hillary Clinton. The first First Lady with a post-graduate degree.”
Commentator #2: “She has a law degree.”
President-elect Bill Clinton @ 4:33: “I want to begin this night by thanking my family. My wife, without whom I would not be here tonight. And who I believe will be one of the greatest First Lady’s in the history of this Republic.”
:::Crowd goes wild. Bill smiles and looks at Hillary. Grabs her hand and holds it in the air. Crowd starts going even more wild and starts chanting: “HILLARY!” HILLARY!” “HILLARY!”:::
Bill endearingly says with a smile, “You can cheer for her.”
Commentator towards the end @ 29:31:
“Going to say, that both Governor and Misses Clinton, in this campaign, you know, they were hit with everything short of a tire-iron. They took an awful lot during the campaign. Everybody who ran in this race took a lot. But no more than those two people who are weaving and waving, right now, as the victors.”

Say what you want about the Clintons but they are strong, smart, and resilient.

“I’ve been called a lot of things by many people – quitter’s not one of them.” ~Hillary Rodham Clinton

Here is some of what two pragmatic fighters did in the 1990s by investing in education, healthcare, women, and children:

We had a chance to continue the Clinton progress with Al Gore in 2000. Unfortunately, too many fell for the Nader trap, turning their backs on President Clinton’s Vice President. If only a fraction of Nader voters had been for Gore, Florida wouldn’t have been a toss-up. Don’t think there is a difference between Democrats and Republicans? Just think how far along we would already be on climate change if we had continued the Clintons progress with Gore.

Let’s not make the same mistake again. Let’s build on Obama’s progress with the Clintons. And please don’t turn your backs on the Clintons again by forgetting who the real enemy is.

Let us remember the Clintons had to work within the context and culture of the 1990s. But they still succeeded on many progressive levels despite dealing with a GOP-controlled Congress in the 1990s. They still succeeded despite witch-hunt after witch-hunt, proving no one can fight the GOP better than the Clintons can. We desperately need two fighters back in the White House considering the rise of the radical Tea Party.

Fortunately, the Clintons are now working within the context and culture of the Obama coalition, a progressive coalition they are committed to building on in 21st Century America. Hillary raised 18 million dollars for down-ticket Democrats, something that is critical in a country where 37-state legislatures are currently Republican controlled. This has resulted in the defunding of Planned Parenthood on a local level and gay Americans being stripped of their rights on a state-level. Nationally, we have become more liberal. But on a state-by-state basis we have become more conservative. Never forget the Clintons have deep roots in the South, and a machine to fight back against GOP control. That’s why the Clintons are vilified by Republicans — they fear the Clinton machine. And they should.

Bill Clinton came from a small town in Arkansas called “Hope.” His Father died at an early age, which resulted in Bill having to live with his Grandparents. His Grandfather ran a small country store. Eventually, though, Bill’s Mother was able to take control of her own life as a result of our country investing in her through education and healthcare. Healthcare that saved his Mother’s life from cancer. That isn’t a “hand-out” according to Bill. That was our country empowering its people and giving its people the tools they need to take control of their own lives. Tools that allowed for a man named Bill Clinton, born into a poor, widowed household, to become President of the United States. The embodiment of the American dream. How our country SHOULD be operating.

After graduating Yale Law School, people thought Hillary was crazy to follow Bill Clinton to Arkansas considering a promising legal career was waiting for her in Washington. But after falling in love with this strong, kind-hearted man from “Hope” Arkansas, she insisted she had met the next President of the United States. She knew they could change the world. Together. Side-by-side. Two kids working their way from the bottom to the top through hard work.

Hillary followed Bill to Arkansas, becoming the breadwinner of their family so Bill could run for Governor. Once Bill became Governor, as First Lady of Arkansas, Hillary reformed education, healthcare, the foster care system, worked for the Children’s Defense Fund, provided legal services to poor and underprivileged families, and taught parents how to be their children’s first advocates. The joke in Arkansas was that they “hired the wrong Clinton”:

Hillary knew the importance of investing in women and children due to her Mother being abandoned by her parents at an early age. And Bill’s personal story is proof of Hillary’s larger point, a point she has been making ever since her days as First Lady in Arkansas: children’s issues and women’s issues are critical to the health and success of our nation. And none other than her husband, President Bill Clinton, is the proof.

Reigniting the American Dream for all Americans, something both Bill and Hillary Clinton embody, is something he and Hillary worked every single day to give back to all Americans throughout the 1990s. So when Trump says “Make America Great Again,”think back to what the Clintons did in 1990s. And think how much more they can do now in 21st Century America.

When looking at all of Hillary’s plans and proposals together, they are more progressive and comprehensive than Bernie’s. I’m ready for the Clintons to fight for those plans and proposals and build the machine needed to accomplish and implement them. Again — Hillary raised 18 million for down ticket Democrats.

I want the Clintons back — investing in me. Investing in the American people. Investing in families like the one that allowed Bill Clinton to become President of the United States. Investing in the things Hillary has advocated for throughout her entire career.

Hillary spent months traveling the state to sell her proposals for reform – which included boosting course offerings, reducing class sizes and implementing testing requirements for both students and teachers – while soliciting ideas from parents and teachers.
In the end, the administration tied the package to an unpopular initiative to boost the state sales tax by 1 percentage point.
Though she faced heated pushback from the teachers’ union and a related group, Hillary largely won over lawmakers in the end.
Political operatives in the state still laugh about the thunderstruck reaction that Rep. Lloyd George, a colorful state representative with a syrupy drawl, had to her presentation:
Just so everyone remembers, at Yale, Hillary was a promising lawyer and decided [against the advice of everyone] to follow Bill Clinton to Arkansas and marry him. Not only did she love Bill, but she also insisted to everyone she had met the next President of the United States. People thought she was throwing away her career.
But what she did was follow her heart while also retaining her own self-identity. After following Bill to Arkansas, Hillary worked for the Children’s Defense Fund, the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Legal Services, cofounded the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, secured federal funds to expand medical facilities in Arkansas’s poorest areas as chair of the Rural Health Advisory Committee, successfully reformed the Arkansas education system as chair of the Arkansas Educational Standards Committee while Bill was Governor, and became the first female partner of the Rose Law Firm. Hillary has always stood with women, the middle-class, children, the under-privileged – the invisible.

Here is a video of Hillary Rodham Clinton fighting for education, families, children, and women throughout her entire career:

When I first met her 30 years ago, she already had an abiding passion to help children. She’s pursued it ever since. Her first job was with the Children’s Defense Fund. Every year I was Governor she took lots of time away from her law practice to work for better schools, children’s health and jobs for parents who lived in poor areas. When I became President she became a full- time advocate for her lifetime cause. What a job she’s done. She championed the Family Leave law, children’s health insurance, and increased support for foster children and adoptions. She wrote a best–selling book about caring for our children, and then she took care of them by giving all the profits to children’s charities. For thirty years, she’s been there for all our kids. She’s been a great First Lady. She’s always been there for our family. And she’ll always be there for the families of New York and America.”  –President Bill Clinton

Hillary Clinton had a message for a supporter’s father who is backing Donald Trump: ‘I don’t have horns.“
Clinton had just wrapped up her town hall in Mason City when Kayla Helmers, a 22-year old volunteer who lives in Mason City, approached the former secretary of state on the rope line and asked her to tape a message for her father, Shawn Starry, who has decided to caucus for Donald Trump.
After shaking her head, closing her eyes and asking for her father’s name, Clinton relented.
“Hi Shawn, I am here with your daughter,” Clinton said like she was leaving a voicemail. “I hope you can see I don’t have horns. And I really do hope that as this election goes on you will listen to your daughter. Thanks. Bye.”

In this rare clip, Hillary declares she has hated bullies ever since she was a little girl – “I do not like bullies.”
Recently, Hillary cited her Mother Dorothy as forming the core of why she continues to fight for those who are invisible, despite being knocked down and attacked daily since the early 1990s.
Many have mocked Hillary’s video “Dorothy.” But what I see is someone who is authentic – the hardships her Mother faced as a child led Hillary to the Children’s Defense Fund. Hillary helped to create and pass the Children’s Health Insurance Program, giving 8+ million children health insurance.

They say fascism will come to American wrapped in a flag and be carrying a cross. Well, it might have just started with Donald J. Trump. He recently cited the Bible as the greatest book ever, and his slogan “Make America Great Again” [key word: “AGAIN”] is reminiscent of nationalistic propaganda based on nostalgia. Trump is fanning the flames of extremism in the United States and is inciting hate to gain power. Anyone that stands up to him is simply being “politically correct” and deserves to be “Trumped” according to his supporters.

What Trump means when he says “Make America Great Again” is this: bring us back to a culture that says a husband can rape his wife.

The more Trump dehumanizes others, the more his appeal grows. Why? Has American culture grown so grotesque that a billionaire bully now has a chance to win the Presidency?

Trump and his supporters are growing in numbers and becoming more vile by the day. Fox News has spent years brainwashing and creating a culture of hate Trump is now thriving in. At first, Fox News thought Trump was ruining the Republican brand. But when Megyn Kelly started receiving death threats from Trump supporters, Fox News quickly learned – Trump *IS* their brand. Fox News quickly caved to Trump and allowed him and his supporters to continue dehumanizing Megyn Kelly at no consequence:

Trump supporters love that he is unafraid to use any means, no matter how unethical or damaging, to "win.” They jerk off to his misogyny and wish they could be him in real-life. These people get off on disparaging and dehumanizing those they consider “lesser” than them.

Unlike most other political candidates, Hillary Clinton is unafraid to stand up to Donald Trump and the grotesque culture he is currently cultivating in his quest for power.

The United States has allowed one man to obtain an unnecessary amount of wealth, giving him the platform and power to treat other humans with no dignity or respect. And his supporters have been brainwashed to view any criticism of his behavior as “weakness” and “political correctness.”  The more vile Trump is, the more they get off on it. Our culture is currently being revealed to be more disgusting than you originally thought.

Trump is using intimidation tactics to scare off journalists from reporting the truth about him. He is using propaganda, nationalism, and hate to gain support among those that have been brainwashed by Fox News.

All of this is reminiscent of Trump’s racist crusade for Obama’s birth certificate. Trump is largely responsible for keeping the birth certificate propaganda campaign alive, and has now become a propaganda artist in the worst way humanly possible way.

Hillary Clinton’s authenticity was shown during her exchange with #BlackLivesMatter activists: she is relentless, pragmatic, and confident in who she is and what she believes in – all the way to her very core. A natural leader. Her confidence is contagious.

Hillary is giving this movement a dose of reality, advice, and how to turn a movement into real, lasting change.

Present Hillary with a clear agenda, help her with crafting legislation, continue changing as many hearts and minds as you can, and she will do her best to make it law [just as we have done with other social causes both past and present]. Otherwise, as Hillary said, you will be having this same conversation in 10 years.

Side note: Hillary had already addressed previous questions regarding Bill Clinton’s legacy. Why is this clip making it seem as though this was the first question posed to her? This type of editing makes it seem as though Hillary’s team is cutting the activists off, when in reality this is far from the first question posed to Hillary. Disgusting tactics being used here.

Bottom line is: you need a President behind you, otherwise you will never change the system. You can’t change every heart, which is why JFK and LBJ were also needed. Legislation must follow.

Hillary Rodham Clinton knows her shit and is politically brilliant. I have no doubt she will transform our country to being one that values everyone. She isn’t perfect and has made mistakes along the way. But I believe in her.

Hey my fellow millennials, here’s Hillary Rodham Clinton fighting for education, families, children, and women throughout her entire career. Hillary *IS* authentic:
After Yale, Hillary worked for the Children’s Defense Fund, the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Legal Services, cofounded the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, secured federal funds to expand medical facilities in Arkansas’s poorest areas as chair of the Rural Health Advisory Committee, successfully reformed the Arkansas education system as chair of the Arkansas Educational Standards Committee while Bill was Governor, and became the first female partner of the Rose Law Firm.
Other achievements:
–Hillary has worked closely with the Human Rights Campaign on a variety of issues over the years. Hillary has correctly noted she was the first First Lady to march in a gay pride parade. As New York Senator, Hillary fought for stronger hate crime laws and anti-discrimination laws. As Secretary of State, Hillary enacted lifesaving policies and programs that saved LGBT people around the globe, historically declaring on the world stage: “Gay rights are human rights.”
–Fighting and achieving the necessary healthcare for 9/11 first responders as New York Senator.
–Secretary of State: New START treaty with Russia, ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, promoting and protecting the rights of women and the LGBT community worldwide, our “pivot” to Asia strategy – visiting Burma for the first time in over 40 years, and improving the favorability of the U.S. by 20 points worldwide after the disastrous Bush Administration.
Hillary has always stood with women, the middle-class, children, the under-privileged – the invisible.
“When I first met her 30 years ago, she already had an abiding passion to help children. She wrote a best-selling book about caring for our children, and then she took care of them by giving all the profits to children’s charities. For thirty years, she’s been there for all our kids. She’s been a great First Lady. She’s always been there for our family. And she’ll always be there for the families of New York and America.” –President Bill Clinton
“I’m not going to mislead anybody. Politics is really hard. And it is harder for women. There’s a double standard, and you can’t complain about it. You just have to accept it, and be smart enough to navigate it. And you have to have a pretty tough skin. To paraphrase a favorite quote from Eleanor Roosevelt: If a woman wants to be in politics, she has to have the skin of a rhinoceros. So occasionally I’ll be sitting somewhere and I’ll be listening to someone perhaps not saying the kindest things about me. And I’ll look down at my hand and I’ll sort of pinch my skin to make sure it still has the requisite thickness I know Eleanor Roosevelt expects me to have.” –Hillary Rodham Clinton
