i never really cared about shinji or kaworu i was always more invested in misato and ritsuko. i think their latent homosexual desire for each other manifests itself in more interesting ways which i know is crazy to say when comparing them to like alien angel things exploding the earth but thats just how i feel... asuka and rei too i think the women in eva just might be better and more interesting by a wide margin compared to the men

i like psychological and darker themes in my books and what not but i think at this point some of you guys who like to post about such things are beyond just freudian analysis and are in fact well within the realm of incest fetishism. finding unhealthy relationship dynamics interesting is all well and good until you forget the reality that the subject matter you are dealing with must be treated with delicacy because the subject matter you are dealing with is abuse and in most cases sexual assault. let’s do some self reflection here folks

basically my conception of dan and rorschachs relationship is that rorschach is aware of his homosexual desires and is trying to repress them via the adoption of the rorschach persona (see his line about rorschach being free of lust, though obviously not his primary reason for developing the rorschach persona it does play its role) which allows him to justify continuing to work with dan up until keene after which he feels abandoned and becomes more bitter than usual, leading to the kind of implied former affection present even in his more hostile interactions with dan. he is of course dangerously starved for kindness affection and warm touch which all come naturally to nite owl when it comes to his friends and allies. dan himself i think is not consciously aware of his entanglement with rorschach as far as feelings go but is still buying sugar cubes in bulk for rorschach as if hes a nervous horse. the link dan has in his mind between superhero partnership and arousal or sexual release is certainly worth pointing out in this context especially since a direct line can be drawn from him teaming up like old times only with laurie to having sex with laurie to post coitus immediately thinking about rorschach. i think he was probably having crazy ass dreams and subconscious urges during their partnership but was ignoring them because any further thought would mean serious reflection on the state of affairs of the rorschach nite owl team which lets be honest here could not have been on strong legs at any point despite their at times codependent leanings. to sum up i essentially think that rorschach was consciously suppressing gay thoughts while dan was subconsciously suppressing gay urges. thank you for understanding the complex relationship i have built for them in my mind
