Then they deserve constructive criticism, people are throwing blatant hate at them. They won’t improve by being told “You suck!” There’s a huge difference 

I agree, although with Rawkus’s performance specifically it should be expected of him to do better, he’s a professional player who’s been in this game for a long time and his performance was abysmal. I agree that just shouting at them that they’re trash is entirely unproductive but reddit users have never acted like normal people with reasonable responses

its really such an indescribable headspace going on long roadtrips in america (but not taking the scenic highways just using the interstates) like the road looks the same for hours. maybe you start driving into the mountains or you’re going out west and you go from plains to mountains to desert, but for the most part it just looks like trees and two stretches of asphalt for as far as you can see. you pull off at an exit to get something to eat or to get gas and it looks the same as every interstate exit you’ve ever been to. the stores might be different, maybe theres a burger king here where there was a mcdonalds at the last one. maybe its a different gas station chain. there’s a few strip malls but no two have the exact same stores. but it’s all the same. it all feels the same. there is no true sensory indication of where you are. you are both nowhere and anywhere.

the anti boosting crowd has some points about how destructive it is to a game’s competitive environment and i don't support boosting morally, but i think the biggest issue being ignored by them is that these t2 players boosting is a symptom of a greater malady plaguing overwatch esports. in shaming these players for supplementing their income in this way, you’re ignoring the fact that these players on org teams with fucking salaries needed to supplement their income. 

Chipsa made a really good point about it on stream where if you just take part of the OWL prize pool and put it in contenders it’ll create more stability for full time t2 players.
