Idk if it's cuz I'm aro or had unfortunate of having experiences like this, but friendship fallout or turn toxic in media tends to get me way more often than romantic breakups and general romantic angst tropes. It's possible to grief over a friend, to get possessive or obsessive over them, to have a fallout you can't never exactly get over because to this day it hurts you - and when portrayed in non romantic (or even untypical romantic) relationship I feel like things like that are given a room to breathe as happenings aren't abided by your typical romantic tropes

Society is unfortunately very amatonormative and subtly teaches kids from earliest years that point in life is to get yourself a soulmate one day. No wonder people feel like they have no worth if they're single. People need to realize romance is a neutral thing, it's something that can make your life better, a living hell or simply have no lasting effect on you.
