ok but one direction doing their next tour from 2017 into 2018 and it’s their last show and harry and louis have had the time of their lives since coming out in 2016 and they’re about to end the show but then niall and liam both jump off stage into the security area and it leaves harry and louis alone then harry/louis just goes “alright,” and he gets down on one knee and proposes to the other and the latter ends up dropping their microphone as the proposer speaks their unconditional love for the other and then after agreeing to marry him they both take the almighty power couple walk down the runway as 60k+ fans cheer by their sides, and another few million are screaming behind their computers

Louis decided to change the lyrics into ‘women just don’t feel right’ (at 3.08). After that, he mouths ‘women’ to Harry, who seems to like his idea so much that he changes the lyrics as well.

Louis is not sulking. 

Because for the first time in five years, the future holds nothing but positive changes. Also, they have a plan. After years and years of changing plans and hiding and secrets and hurting, they finally have a plan. There is no more tour, no more interviews, and more importantly, no more public obligations to Simon & Company. He just has one or two more ‘snap walks’ - Harry really was too proud of that pun when he found out how they would carry out this year’s stunt - and a well timed denial about that and he will be free. They will be free.

And he cannot help but look back at the last five years and realize how unbelievably lucky he is to have made it through with his boy by his side. He has never felt more love and pure joy than he has felt in the past few weeks. 

So Louis is very pointedly not sulking because Harry gets to spend an extra twenty-four hours in Miami without him. Louis just wants it to be the day he doesn’t have to worry about anyone thinking he is anywhere but by Harry’s side. 

Okay, so Louis is sulking. 

It’s just, he just had the best Christmas and birthday he has ever had. His belly fills with warmth just thinking about the look on Harry’s face while he watched the twins open their gifts. The way both Anne and Jay seemed all too pleased with themselves getting him and Harry the perfect island getaway, “so you actually rest during this break.” And the way Gemma and Fizzy both passionately talked about what’s going on in the world. 

So walking around his and Harry’s now completely empty house mere hours after it was filled with their family, no one can really blame him for sulking. 

No one can blame him either that when he goes to hug Harry’s pillow and finds Harry’s ‘Harry <3s Louis’ shirt tucked into the pillow case, he slips it on. It’s worn from years of repeated wear, there’s holes in the collar and only half of the letters are still on it. But it smells both like the boy that Louis fell in love with and the man that Louis continues to learn to love more every single day.

He isn’t even aware that he’s falling asleep until his phone starts ringing out a Facetime call. Right, Harry promised to call as soon as he was settled. 

Louis barely shifts his face on the pillow while he answers the call. 

“‘Lo,” he murmurs as soon as the call connects. 

“Hi baby,” Harry replies cheerfully through the screen, he sounds happy, but slightly distracted. “Were you sleeping? Do you want me to call back later?” 

“No no, I shouldn’t let me body get used to this timezone anyways.” Louis states as he turns his face fully towards the camera. 

“Very good point,” Harry chuckles into the phone. He’s searching through his bag, “can you see if I left my new Gucci tie in the closet? I can’t find it anywhere, I must have left it at home.” 

Louis and Harry both know that means he has to get up and check now or he’ll forget entirely and Harry won’t have anything to wear to the wedding. He sits up in bed and to stretch, and heads towards their closet. 

“I can’t wait for you to get here love,” Harry says as he continues to unpack on the other side of the Atlantic. “Mum and Robin are only a few floors down from us. Lux keeps insisting that ‘Uncle Lou has to come swimming with us. It can’t just be you or I’ll drown Uncle Knobhead,’” He sounds far too fond to be talking about a toddler insulting him. 

Louis giggles as he puts his phone down on the shelf so he can look through Harry’s ever-growing tie collection. “James keeps stating that he misses his ‘little kitten.’” He looks towards the camera and rolls his eyes while giggling. “Nick says he’s going to take us out for proper drinks since we kee-” he trails off. 

Louis is about to ask if everything is alright when he sees Harry beaming at his phone. He assumes he sees a shirt that he forgot to pack and starts to look behind him, “Oh did you want me to bring you one of your new ones as well?” 

“Did you- Are you wearing my shirt?” Harry asks. 

Louis looks down, he forgot he even put it on before he fell asleep. He knows that at one point in time, he would be embarrassed, but he’s far too gone for this boy to pretend he doesn’t miss him. So he just shrugs his shoulders and nods. 

Harry promptly begins to giggle, which quickly turns into an all out belly laugh. It’s then that Louis finally notices that Harry just so happens to be wearing an equally worn shirt that reads ‘Louis <3s Harry.’ Now Louis can’t do anything but laugh with him. 

“We are so sad,” Harry giggles as he rubs his thumb across the corner of his eye. 

“We really are,” Louis says. He can’t even bother to try to contain his happiness. 

They both know that they wouldn’t have it any other way.
