last song: golden hour - JVKE, in my Anne's summer '23 spotify playlist.
currently reading: I'm rereading Twilight, but in English for the first time. I keep comparing the book with the movie though, since I basically memorized the movie (all downloaded free so no money goes to smeyer). The book before that was The Missing Sister from the Seven sisters series. (@herbcitty i should also keep up with Dracula, love the memes from it)
currently watching: Other than this guilty pleasure Dutch tv show Chateau Meiland - about this gay man, his loud wine-drinking family and their house-, I'm watching The Full-Time Wife escapist. Very slow burn japan romance and side characters stories.
current obession: that has been Japan related content for a while now, my wish is to visit one day. At least once in autumn and once in spring. The nature, cities and countryside, food... I love getting familiar with Tokyo and its areas. I watch a ton of youtube J-vloggers. Like Sharmeleon, Tokyo Lens, Kim-Dao, Abroad in Japan, Tokidoki Traveller. But also the Ghibli movies of course
Thank you for tagging me!
good things to pay attention to more often
- the color of trees
- clouds and how they look different throughout the day
- the different colors the mornings can have. sometimes it's an orange hue and sometimes pink and sometimes it's too misty to tell
- pretty color schemes in random places (the trees and your neighbors wooden patio and the color of their car)
- the states of the vehicles passing you by, dents and scratches and the different trinkets suspended from their rearview mirrors
- the sound of silence
- the shadows the lights cast in your home, like how sunset looks different than sunrise, and the shadows the sun casts look different than those of your lamps and candles
- pretty details in buildings and houses like certain types of windows or doorknobs or archways
- the movement of things in the wind. flags, leaves, flowers, people's hair and coats
When it rains the white petals of Diphylleia Grayi also known as skeleton flowers, turn crystal clear.
