It literally fucks you up. You think about every single thing someone says to you twice, shit maybe even three times trying to figure out if they were just lying to you too or if they really mean what they say. You have this constant fucking anxiety they are hiding something or that they’re going to just randomly leave and you over think when they short text you or take a while to reply. So please if you’re dating someone that’s been cheated on understand it’s not you it’s the piece of shit that came before you and we’re sorry you have to clean up their mess but we really are trying to trust again so prove to us that we can.

Sometimes you’re 23 and standing in the kitchen of your house making breakfast and brewing coffee and listening to music that for some reason is really getting to your heart. When you can’t remember how you got from sixteen to here and all the same feel like sixteen is just as much of a stranger to you now. The song is over. The coffee’s done. You’re going to breathe in and out. You’re going to be fine in about five minutes.
