Criminal Case: Paradise Fields AU Ch. 3 Why Me?

Previous chapter (I am going to admit this one is a little rough since I'm not too familiar with most of the games outside of the og game and pacific bay but I tried my best. Anyways hope you enjoy ^^) You were chatting with some of your co-workers when you noticed Michelle looking over into the wildflower field deep in thought about something. You decided to walk over to her. “Why me? Why did The Bureau still accept me after all that I did? I was a SOMBRA agent… I lead so many people to their deaths yet somehow, you all still accepted me as a part of the Bureau despite the fact I could’ve led you all to your deaths.” You sighed stating that she wasn't the first person you have run into that did that was a part of a dangerous organization or person that almost led to your death. You recount the times, the Rorschach reaper hypnotizing your partner into almost killing you, having confronting MULTIPLE terrorist organizations, and so on. She was the last person you'd get pissed off at for what she had done. After all, she couldn't help it. She was raised into SOMBRA. She didn't know what she was getting into as a child. You told her that you at least felt guilty for your actions, unlike previous members that have betrayed you and the teams that you worked for. You decided to go grab some things so that you two could have a picnic in the wildflower field and talk a bit. She discussed all the things she went through as a SOMBRA agent leading up to leaving them and joining the Bureau to her death. She was in tears by the end of it. You hugged her saying that despite all that she did, it was in the past now and she was a valuable part of the team, ex-SOMBRA or not. You walked her to her room before saying good night and heading to sleep yourself.

Previous Chapter You don't think you’ve ever seen Frank this happy before when you were partners. Watching him play with his kids Laura and Daisy, in the wildflower fields was such a sweet sight to see. Seeing that after everything that has happened to them, the divorce, franks absence in their lives, and his struggle with his depression and alcoholism, they still loved him for being their dad. Their giggles filled the air with such joy despite them having lived such short lives. Frank’s smile was so warm ya coulda sworn it melted your heart and made it boil. It wasn't fake nor was it a sarcastic one. It was one of excitement and peace being with his kids. Daisy, the youngest of the two, invited you to come and play. You initially refused but she pulled you into the field giggling. Frank tried to hold in his laughter but he couldn't and just let out a jolly laugh seeing you dragged by his youngest. You both played hide and seek with the two sisters and made flower crowns and necklaces until sundown. When ya got back to the hotel you allowed them to paint your nails and do your hair. You stayed with them for dinner and chatted. Overall the day was filled with joy having played with the Knight family all day.
