“‘No Way To Prevent This,’ Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens” is good but here are some others for your consideration

imo this is the best one

Gun control in America would change very little as guns are incredibly easy to obtain illegally. In fact, the cities with the worst gun crimes in the states also hold the strictest gun control, being Chicago and Detroit as chief examples. Without removing every gun in the system, which would be unconstitutional and unjust, you can't change anything. I'm all for tighter legislation to obtain a gun, but it will change nothing to put arbitrary limitations on the guns themselves or attachments like suppressors or large magazines..

this is the money cat. reblog in 30 seconds and you will find yourself with more wealth

and it has its right paw up! the correct paw for this. and from the markings on its ears, it looks like it might be a calico cat. which is the luckiest kind!

extremely lucky cat

I don’t even care if it actually works, I’m mostly reblogging because it’s freaking adorable.

cute cat and need money, good post, 10/10

in case anyones interested in the other versions

Y’know I reblogged this a bit ago and was saved from financial probation and getting kicked out of school because of it, just mere months from graduation. Got a call from the financial aid advisor telling me that they made a mistake with filing my account (or some other sort of clerical error) and said that, basically, they owe me money. Welp.

Last time I reblogged the money cat, I won two $100 gift cards at work.

this was powerful

The difference is that the Japanese registry was built on wartime paranoia, people were afraid that the Japanese in America may be just as indoctrinated as the ones overseas, that their loyalty could come to Japan and make a lot of spies.

Muslims on the other hand, have shown a repeated disregard for the existence of non-muslims. I know that's a MASSIVE generalization, but it's a sad truth. Polling has shown time and time again that sometimes upwards of 70% of 'moderate' Muslims support beheading apostates, and stoning gays and rape victims. I genuinely feel for the people targeted because of their religion, but it's because of how idly so many of them allow the barbaric nature of it to go unchallenged, or even support it.

The United States continues to embarrass.

The delegates were appalled by the lack of gender equality in America. They found the U.S. to be lagging far behind international human rights standards in a number of areas, including its 23 percent gender pay gap, maternity leave, affordable child care and the treatment of female migrants in detention centers.
The most telling moment of the trip, the women told reporters on Friday, was when they visited an abortion clinic in Alabama and experienced the hostile political climate around women’s reproductive rights.
“We were harassed. There were two vigilante men waiting to insult us,” said Frances Raday, the delegate from the U.K. The men repeatedly shouted, “You’re murdering children!” at them as soon as they neared the clinic, even though Raday said they are clearly past childbearing age.
“It’s a kind of terrorism,” added Eleonora Zielinska, the delegate from Poland. “To us, it was shocking.”
In most European countries, she explained, abortions are performed at general doctors’ offices and hospitals that offer all kinds of other health services, so there aren’t protesters waiting to heckle the women who enter.
The women discovered during their visit that women in the United States have “missing rights” compared to the rest of the world. For instance, the U.S. is one of three countries in the world that does not guarantee women paid maternity leave. The U.N. suggests that countries guarantee at least 14 weeks of paid parental leave. Some countries go further – Iceland requires five months paid leave for each parent, and an additional two months to be shared between them.
“The lack of accommodation in the workplace to women’s pregnancy, birth and post-natal needs is shocking,” Raday said. “Unthinkable in any society, and certainly one of the richest societies in the world.”
Another main area of concern for the delegation is violence against women – particularly gun violence. Women are 11 times more likely to be killed by a gun in the United States than in other high-income countries, and most of those murdersare perpetrated by an intimate partner. While the Obama administration has talked a lot about combatting violence against women, its efforts have been frustrated by Congress’ inability to pass new federal gun restrictions.

While the delegates were shocked by many things they saw in the U.S., perhaps the biggest surprise of their trip, they said, was learning that women in the country don’t seem to know what they’re missing. “So many people really believe that U.S. women are way better off with respect to rights than any woman in the world,” Raday said. “They would say, ‘Prove it! What do you mean other people have paid maternity leave?’”

The US is so far behind in women’s rights, people don’t even believe that other countries allow Paid. Maternity. Leave. Good lord.

But “feminism isn’t needed in the first world!”

Side point: I know for a fact there's a hell of a lot of men that'd love to give up the well over-inflated 23% for some of the privileges women have in the first world. Especially having a 60%+ chance to just get away with any crime they commit, including murder

listen to pop pop

No, don't do that. Assaulting someone because they disagree with you, or have an opinion you deem 'dangerous' or 'problematic' is the worst thing you can do! They may have deplorable ideas, but ideas need to be countered by ideas. If the person you're arguing against has truly terrible ideas then it's not that hard to shut them down with your own.

If you can't argue your own ideas merits over those you perceive as worse, it's probably time you reconsider part of your idea.

They already do. The wage gap isn't real in the way claimed. It's figure is an average between all men alongside all women without factoring. There is a very minor wage gap (no more than 5%) that can't be explained, with the people responsible for the research concluding it likely that women are just willing to work for less, and don't seek better pay even at a good job

When we say that the United States is joining Syria and Nicaragua by not participating in the Paris agreement, I think it’s not fair to leave it at that, because neither of them refused to sign for reasons anything like the selfish ones of the United States.

Syria was under sanctions making it complicated to even attend, and on top of that were embroiled in intense civil warfare and not in a great position to make a commitment like that. They didn't disagree with it, but were never involved with the deal in the first place.

Nicaragua actually felt that the Paris agreement was not strict enough, arguing that they didn’t want to be complicit in a voluntary effort that didn’t properly allocate the responsibility to large countries for being the ones who poisoned the environment in the first place, nor impose a punishment on anyone failing to comply with the standards. Nicaragua is one of the countries that’s most affected by climate change but least responsible, and they felt that wasn’t fairly reflected in the accord.

The United States is the ONLY country that has rejected the Paris accord because of the belief that our environment is less important than our profit. Even oppressive regimes and the poorest nations in the world are smarter than that, or at least know when to keep their mouths shut and play along. The USA is not really in the league of Syria or Nicaragua, but alone in the refusal to cooperate out of pure greed.

No, it's because the US isn't willing to be the only one on the accords forced to pay for third world countries to get better. Also, it's shown the function of the free market, and why it's important

White people truly think racism is someone being mean to them

And they're right sometimes.. I mean, it has become a thing to be mean to white folk just because they're white

“without us you wouldn’t have any rights!“ without you we wouldn’t have to fight for them

Always this. Always.

“Remember that men gave women the right to vote!”

And remember that men should never have been at such a social and political advantage as to be able to literally give and take away rights from groups of people.

fuckin tell ‘em

But, women already had the vote.. and some had MULTIPLE votes, since wealthy people had the vote previous. I mean, men universally got the vote 50 some odd years before women, and even then, their vote came with the draft.. so if you wanna speak about privilege and undeserved benefit of your sex, consider that they got the vote without any of the responsibility the men had.

“because a 16 year old girl who had her first orgasm whilst getting raped, had to watch her 34 year old rapist go free because she had an orgasm.

because when one of my guy friends told me and some friends he got raped by a woman when he was 12, a “friend” laughed at him and told him he should be happy he got laid that young.

because my 17 year old friend’s parents let her 14 year old brother roam the streets until 12am, but she has to be home by 10.

Because my brothers girlfriend, told the police she was raped and fell pregnant but the rapist didn’t get jail time as she got an abortion and the ‘evidence’ was gone.

because a guy from my old school was raped by another guy, but because he’s gay, they said it wasn’t considered rape.

because a 19 year old lesbian got raped by a guy, and he didn’t go to prison because he said “he only tried to turn her straight so she would be accepted by her parents”.

because in some cultures, girls (and boys, of course) still get thrown out of the family because somebody sexually assaulted them.

because they’re still teaching girls to walk faster at night instead of teaching boys that they shouldn’t rape.

Because they’re teaching kids that they’re only male rapists and not female rapists too.

because I have to explain why rape makes me mad.“

If you excuse rape for any reason stay the fuck away from me because you are literally a peice of human refuse.

There is not a person in the Western World that just flat excuses rape.. well, at least there wasn't.. most humans understand that women are people, and that rape is wrong and illegal. There is a big difference between scepticism and dismissal.

pornhub: the government is doing a bad job of sex education. we’ll do it properly. public: applause pornhub: the government is doing a bad job of snow plowing. we’ll do it properly. public: confused applause

They also shut down their site on Women’s History day….I swear we’re in an alternate universe

Socially aware porn sites. What’s next?

A socially aware government would be more helpful

👆👆👆👆👆

The government actually is surprisingly socially aware under Trump, gotta give the dude that he knows his supporters. And as much as you may disagree with them, they're the dominant social class in the better part of the country.

Politically though.. could definitely use some work.. maybe better advisors

when white europeans say “lmao americans are so dumb, how could they let this happen??”

BUT LIKE ROMA AND JEWS HAVE ONLY BEEN SCREAMING ABOUT THIS FOR LIKE THE LAST FIVE YEARS..

WE TRIED TO WARN YOU, BUT YOU DIDN’T LISTEN.

I hope you all stop this somehow, we need countries to stand up against this movement, not let it go unnoticed.

You poor people.. this is the fault of the far left, and their pushing of things like identity politics, alienating so much of the world population. If you want things to move away from the far right, you need to change the left, make yourselves worth voting for again

Shia LaBeouf, who is a jewish man was arrested for shoving a man who said “Hitler was right” to his face. I looked at the date on my phone and it says 2017, but for some reason it feels like 1945. People have actually been sympathizing with literal Nazis. What the fuck is going on?

It doesn't matter what the guy said, physical violence is illegal, speaking your mind is not. If Shia wanted to be safe from the assholes of the world, he shouldn't have been in a public space like that, as sad as that is to say.

FOR ALL YOU FUCKING “DON’T PUNCH NAZIS, YOU’RE MEAN!” IDIOTS

THIS is what you’re defending:

A punch is too fucking soft.

And besides…

After one solid clock to the jaw, now memed into perpetuity, Dick Spencer is afraid to show his Nazi face in public. Direct action gets the goods.

Wow being afraid for your safety in public that must be so hard for a white man.

Also “the meme to end all memes” lol don’t flatter yourself dude

You people literally don't understand what this country was built on, do you..? No human being, no matter how shifty their ideas are should be harmed for having those ideas, but instead should have their ideas shown for the absolute shot they are. I disagree with Richard Spencer on pretty much everything, if not actually everything, but I'd never hit the man for that, instead I'd want to show the outsiders, who may have look on those ideas without total disgust why they're wrong. And when you resort to physical violence to shut someone up, it just shows you can't win an argument against them.

And before you start thinking I'm a monster for being against physical violence like this.. juat remember that there are pro-genocide feminists, BLM supports.. and ethnonationalists of every color.. and if you condone beating Richard Spencer, and his ilk, it not only puts you in line with actual fascists (using violence to silence) but justifies their violence in return, no one will judge Rich if someone attacks him, and he kills them, except you.. the people that glorified it, and may have even put that person up to it.

More people are concerned with why women stay in abusive relationships than why men are abusing women

SAY IT AGAIN

Men and women are at best abused at the same rate.. and at worse women are more abusive..
