Fuck Yeah, Sean Astin!

Dedicated to Sean Astin: actor, family man, runner, activist, and all around nice guy! Best known as Bob Newby, Samwise Gamgee, Rudy and Mikey. Keep up to date on Sean news at Sean Astin Hope Unquenchable facebook page.

Many years ago I got to be in The Guild, playing me. I loved it and I loved being directed by Felicia Day (ie @thisfeliciaday). Last year she asked me if I'd be in an audio comedy she was writing and I said I'd love to.

And then she sent me the scripts and I got even more excited. They are funny and smart and skewer (with love) all the conventions of twenty first century fantasy.

The experience of recording it was incredibly enjoyable. I play the narrator. (I may be playing a version of Neil Gaiman who is the narrator.) Whoever the narrator is, he is having much too much fun. I cannot wait to hear the whole thing and not just my bits.

It's called Third Eye and it will be on Audible and Wil Wheaton (aka @wilwheaton) is in it too. So is Felicia. So are... Well, best to click on the variety link above and see for yourself.

Sean Astin also stars as Frank, a cranky vampire with a bald spot!

Cancelled Netflix Showdown, 1B

Under the influence of her father and the Harbaughs, Nick endeavors to steal money and valuables from the Thompsons and wreak revenge on them. However, as she becomes increasingly attached to the family, Nick's loyalties are divided and she struggles to carry out her plan.

Really bummed “No Good Nick” starring Sean Astin and Melissa Joan Hart was canceled.

Billy Boyd is joining Sean Astin, John Rhys Davies, Miranda Otto, Craig Parker and Sala Baker in a mini Lord of the Rings reunion at Fanboy Expo in Knoxville TN, July 7-9!!

Dominic Monaghan and Lawrence Makoare are joining the Middle-earth reunion in Knoxville!!

A little recap of yesterday at FanExpo Philly:

  • Met Hayden Christensen
  • He has the softest sweetest voice ever
  • He rubbed my back during our photo op🫠
  • Met Sean Astin and he gave the ultimate dad energy and was the sweetest human ever.
  • He signed a photo of Doug (his character in 50 first dates)
  • He remember me and my roommate from our autograph session when we did our photo op
  • He said “be good” as we left the photo op and if that’s not the most dad thing ever idk what is🥹
  • Met Grace for an autograph and joking asked her to sign over Eddie’s face and she said “no I’ve never done that and I won’t do that ever Joe is a sweetheart” so she drew a heart over his face instead.

I remember during the comic con where they announced that Mona Lisa will be coming into the show, Sean made a comment asking the producers if he can “finally talk about it because (he) has been wanting to talk about it” for a while meaning Sean was so hyped when learning that Raph would finally be getting a girlfriend after years of begging the writers to make it happen XD
