hi! i haven't yet seen anyone mention the gravestone that says "peter paintball" on it, maybe you'll know if it's a reference to sth? (also do you know where to get the highest possible quality video for the intro sequence? i want to try and read what the plaques behind the seats say during the theatre part)

Hiya! :) I'm afraid I am with my detail analysis at the very beginning and I haven't gotten there yet and withing the few previous rewatches I haven't noticed it :) I believe the best quality is on youtube? But might be wrong :).

I had a realisation when watching the opening credits again when the plane saying 'thy kingdom airways' appeared. I swear I remember Neil saying somewhere that if he were to write the second coming of christ, he would have him arrive in a private jet, but I can't remember where or when he said that, so I wondered if you would have any idea?

Hiya! :) I'm afraid I can't recall the private jet :). But there was talk about Jesus in the unwritten sequel, tho that should mean s3? :) Not sure, we shall have to wait and see :)❤.

Gabriel (i think) in the intro is carrying the box in the new poster... What could this mean?!?

Hiya! :) Well, the box is important :). And they told us about nude Gabi in the NYCC (('we would start by him walking down the street in Soho completely nude' - though I thought it was a joke back then! :D)). There is big big possibility that he is the amnesiac angel teased from also other things that been said about Jon Hamm and S2, but we shall have to wait and see :).

I plan to do a big post about the S2 Opening Title details, but there are so many things that it will take some time! :) ❤

hi, i was wondering if you knew what the difference between the different editions of the script book was?

Hiya! :) Yes, I made a masterpost about it :)❤.

Hello, Mr. Gaiman!

An intro:

I go to an IB school, and for that reason in Year 11 [or Grade 10] we do a Personal Project, a report on it and a process journal. For the project, we get to pick anything we like to do, or that we've always want to do, and usually it's highly personal.

I picked writing a screenplay! I wanted to ask some questions since you're my favourite writer, and also you wrote the script [and released it in The Nice and Fairly Accurate Good Omens Script]

Questions:

How do you make your characters feel like real people? [How do you go from conjuring their basic personality in your mind to making them 2D, then 3D characters] or stop the characters from feeling flat?

Related to above — How do you make dialogue feel like natural conversation?

Do you have any advice for someone who struggles with motivation at times due to imposter syndrome?

what is the biggest hurdle you have faced while writing? Do you have any advice to overcome it?

what is a common mistake that you see? How do you advise avoiding/correcting it?

In Good Omens, often we see Crowley and Aziraphale in different time periods, [approx.] how much research goes into each time period?

How do you plan and organize your stories while writing? Do you start with a concrete plan beforehand and then write, or get more of a feel for the direction of the story as you write? Do you recommend one kind over the other?

How do you tell meaningful stories? How do you write a good story? Are they the same thing to you, or different?

This is quite lengthy, I know! Apologies!

1) You imagine them as hard as you can. Build them in your head. Know what they would do in any situation and what they would say.

2) You don't. Real conversation isn't like dialogue at all. Your aim is clarity and character and moving the plot forward.

3) you are not alone.

4) that other things are more interesting than writing.

4 a) make writing more interesting than the other things.

5) avoiding necessary conflict in stories

6) look at stories and realise that stories need people in them who want different things

7) Almost none although I did have to check the relative ages of Caligula and Nero.

8) I tend to keep it in my head until I get stuck and then I write down what needs to happen next.

9) more of the latter

10) no. Whatever works.

11) meaningful to whom? And in what way?

12) as well as you can

13) I'm still stuck on meaningful stories. I'm not sure how you tell meaningless stories. But no, they aren't the same. A Bad story can still have meaning.

The only thing being a native English speaker has done for me: let me guess things accurately!

English is not my mother language so this is higher than I expected it to be already LMAO

This is so funny when you consider English isn’t my mother language either and I literally chose half of the words randomly😭

I are a riter

Like Cory I are also a riter. But I bet Cory dun it fasterer.

Oh, I tried it too :) - not bad for not native English speaker (and not living in English speaking country) :)
