When your friends say “Man, you’re really obsessed with Star Trek”…
This is what’s going on in my neighborhood right now.

So I was watching Star Trek: 2009 the other day, and someone on the audio commentary was like, “I don’t think we ever saw Spock run in The Original Series, did we?”
This is in the part where Zachary Quinto is gracefully, elegantly loping, like a blue-shirted, graceful gazelle… I mean the full on Legolas “I wouldn’t sink in a snowdrift” run, as he goes to save the Vulcan elders in the katric arch.
And literally all I could think of was:

Trek [Star Trek 3], we now know, that your buddy Simon Pegg is co-writing it. Is this gonna be the adventures of Scotty now? Are we worried?
[Laughs] We are worried. Vast, vast Simon Pegg monologues. He sent an e-mail to all of us and we’re all really excited. Because what we enjoyed about it is that, you know, we have a laugh. We wanna make sure that that’s still kind of embedded in there. So to have Simon writing it is kind of the perfect fit.
