Imagine your f/o tracing your stretch marks with their fingers, admiring them. If you have light stretch marks, they love how they look like lightning bolts on your skin. If you have darker, pink or purple stretch marks, they love the dash of color. Either way, your f/o would never shame you for your stretch marks. They're a part of you, and your f/o loves all of you.

I think it's so funny how we bred JOBS into dogs. I have two shih tzus and they were bred to be lap dogs. All they care about is looking cute and cuddling with people. Meanwhile my grandma has a border collie and that dog needs to feel so useful all the time, he acts like he will pass away if he doesn't have a job to do constantly

On one hand this is extremely fucking funny, but on the other hand, it really boggles my mind how many people punish their dogs for just… doing the thing they were bred to do.

Your husky isn’t “hyperactive”, it’s bred to pull sleds for 8 hours straight and you have it in a 400 sq ft yard.

Your English sheepdog isn’t “pushy”, it’s bred to herd sheep, and you have neither to space nor the herd to allow it.

Your terrier isn’t “nippy”, it’s bred to kill rats and your hamster looks a hell of a lot like one.

Your Catahoula isn’t “mean to animals”, it’s bred to hunt any and all animals smaller than it, and you didn’t acclimate it to your cat.

Your Lhasa Apso isn’t “yappy”, it’s bred to bark at any tiny noise and alert watchmen to intruders

Like Jesus Christ, if you can’t provide an environment where your dog can’t fulfill its literal life purpose, maybe?? Don’t get that dog??? And if you do, maybe know the breed characteristics so you can redirect those traits into more constructive outlets????

Both your most common doodle's parts (labra and golden) want to hunt and retrieve water birds so the best suggestion I can give y'all is congratulations on your new duck hunting hobby.

ok so being a parent IS really hard but not the way you think. well its probably hard the way you think but its ALSO really hard because my toddler pronounces peanut butter like "peepee yaya". and see, because he learns from me, i can't say "peepee yaya", no matter how much i want to, because i have to teach him that it is actually pronounced "peanut butter". and dont even get me started on how he pronounces "shaun the sheep" (shit the shit)

yeah no if you're friendsies with terfs idc what your personal beliefs are. you can claim you disagree with them as much as you want but ultimately if you don't care enough about someone being part of a genocidal hate group to cut them off that's an actual problem. go to hell

i hope this doesn’t need to be said but just in case

you might have seen people talking about sudowrite and/or their tool storyengine recently

and just like… don’t. don’t do it. don’t try it out just to see what it’s about.

for two main reasons:

1) never feed anything proprietary into a large language model (LLM, eg ChatGPT, google bard, etc.).

this means don’t give it private company information when you’re at work, but also don’t give it your original writing. that’s your work.

because of the way these language models work, anything you feed into it is part of it now. and yeah, the FAQ says they “don’t claim ownership” over anything and yeah, they give you that reassuring bullshit about how unlikely it is that the exact same sentence will be reconstructed—

but that’s not the point.

do you have an unusual way of constructing sentences? a metaphor you like to use? a writing tic that sets you apart from the rest? anything that gives you a unique writing voice?

feed your writing into an LLM, and the model has your voice now. the model can generate text that sounds like it was written by you and someone else can claim it’s theirs because they gave the model a prompt.

don’t feed the model.

2) the other reason is that sudowrite scraped a bunch of omegaverse fic without consent to build their model and that’s a really shitty thing to do, because it means people weren’t given the chance to choose whether or not to feed the model.

don’t feed the model.

also this.

don’t feed the model.

My roommate is sick + bedridden w complications from celiacs. He's improving but it's going to be a while before he's fully recovered. We had a lot of bad things going on before that but now it's an emergency I at least get funds for rent which is due tomorrow, food, and transportation. We have used all the money we have gotten towards this goal so far on getting food and meds for him.

Dm for proof or details!!

I'll do art for anyone who gives $50+ just dm me at my art blog @theartistrans

There should be nationwide solidarity protests for the LGBT folk in Florida.

We need to show we're united and supportive, that we aren't just leaving each other to the wolves.

YES YES YES

I’ve lived in Florida all my life and guess what, this place is diverse. There’s so many black and Latino and Asian people here. We joke that white people are the minority. And we fight like hell. When we’re not gerrymandered and when we organize we get serious wins.

We have a rich history of struggle against racism and oppression: So please stop defining us as “the state with Ron DeSantis” or “Disneyland” Were fucing people. When Ron De Santis demanded info about trans students university students across the campuses walked out and protested. Especiallly among the younger generation, progressive forces are strong. We try our best so don’t abandon us. Show solidarity! The only reason this shit is happening isn’t because the population isnt nothing but white racists, it’s because Florida fascist legislators are backed by national reactionary forces and corporate interests. I already see so much support for us Florida lgbt folks, but it’s good to see more posts like this.
