- “I actually did punch Iwan in the face, twice, by accident, which he took really well,” he said. “He was really nice about it. I had to buy him a pint after that one.” - Kit Harington

- “That was good,” he joked. “Jaw hurt a bit the next day, but, you know, it’s understandable.” - Iwan Rehon

“Your son was butchered at the Red Wedding, Lord Manderly, but you refused the call. You swore allegiance to House Stark, Lord Glover, but in their hour of greatest need, you refused the call. And you, Lord Cerwyn, your father was skinned alive by Ramsay Bolton. Still you refused the call. But House Mormont remembers. The North remembers. We know no king but the King in the North, whose name is Stark. I don’t care if he’s a bastard. Ned Stark’s blood runs through his veins. He’s my king from this day until his last day.”

Apparently you auditioned for Jon Snow but got a completely different Snow instead. What do you think the producers saw in you to carry such a disturbing character? I’m not entirely sure. People often ask me this and I simply don’t have an answer to it. I’ve never played a role like this before and I approached it like any other role I would have. By finding the truth of the person you’re trying to portray and trying to deliver good acting. But more often, to avoid tripping over my sword!

I never met my mother. My father wouldn’t even tell me her name. I don’t know if she’s living or dead. I don’t know if she’s a noblewoman or a fisherman’s wife…or a whore. So I sat there in the brothel as Ros took off her clothes. But I couldn’t do it. Because all I could think was what if I got her pregnant and she had a child, another bastard named Snow? It’s not a good life for a child.

If you had asked for my advice earlier, I would have told you not to attack Winterfell until we had a larger force, or is that obvious, too?                                            When will we have a larger force?
