I hate how psychotic disorders are a meme online among people of every political ideology
No one on the left does this with any other mental health condition unless they actually have the condition, but psychosis is somehow okay for anyone to dunk on
Respect and support all psychotic people.
Respect and support psychotic people in psych wards.
Respect and support psychotic people in prison.
Respect and support psychotic people who use drugs.
Respect and support psychotic people who can't hide their symptoms.
Respect and support psychotic people who are homeless.
If you say you respect and support psychotic people no one is exempt.
If you are disgusted, scared of, or laugh at psychotic people on the street that talk to themselves you cannot say you respect and support psychotic people.
Just because a psychotic person is less privileged, and less socially acceptable to you, does not give you a pass to be sanist.
This shouldn't have to be said but every human deserves basic respect.
People who are mentally ill, have no money, have no support, can't hide their symptoms, make bad choices and don't fit into the social norms, are not any less human than anybody else.

actually no i am literally better than apsychotics because i have schizophrenia. if i had the choice i would pick to be schizophrenic in any and every life. being schizophrenic means i am sexier and better and cooler and whatever than people who do not have schizophrenia. other people are worse for being apsychotic. they fucking wish they were me.
If you make fun of schizo spec/psychosis spec people's delusions you're a giant piece of shit. If you do it to the same person multiple times, you're an abuser
i think the worst form of ableism is definitely “everyone around them has it worse.”
it’s when you look up “how to cope with delusions” and the top 10 articles are how to cope with someone else’s delusions. here’s Google’s chosen result, if you dont believe me look it up yourself! (and btw - “how to cope with my delusions” and “how to cope with my own delusions” come up with the same Google’s chosen results.)
this stupid shit has made me believe that no matter how traumatizing my delusions could ever be to me, the people who love me have it worse because of my own mental illness. no matter how scary it is for ME to actively lose my memory, it’s more inconveniencing to other people can it ever could be to me. how DARE i lose my fine motor skills, what about my loved ones and how they feel about it? how the fuck is this an acceptable way of viewing mental illness and disability? the top results for how to cope with ANYTHING should never be from an outsider’s view looking in.
i do not exist to be silenced by guilt and a non-psychotic’s need to feel comfortable around me.
i could say more but that’s enough anger out of me tonight
As a delusional person - please stop saying that someone is delusional for not liking the beatles or for thinking they’re gonna win the lottery or thinking you’ll sleep with them. Delusions are a real symptom of mental illness and, shocking i know, not an indication of moral value! I’m delusional and I’m a not a bad person - all it means about me is that I suffer from delusions, which are breaks in reality and moments where i believe something to be true that is objectively false. it could range from something plausible but unlikely (that the government is after me, that a stranger is in love with me) to completely impossible (that shapeshifting aliens have replaced my roommates, that I have prophetic powers) when you call people you disagree with delusional you take the context of the word away from mental health and attach a stigma to it. People with delusions aren’t bad, we need compassion and patience and, sometimes, we need help.
Unpsychotic and not delusional people can reblog this (please do!) but no clowning. Psychotic people I love you, feel free to share your experiences
