Yeah, Varian’s upset with Punzie and is projecting his guilt about his dad onto her shoulders and tried to kill her, her family and friends. But can we acknowledge that during his scheming he trusted her with the graphtic. He trusted her to not only find it, but to protect it. Even if he was just using her to protect it, he still trusted her too. I think that trust shows that their relationship is salvageable.

I totally forgot I had this SUPER old doodle of Hugo and Varian where I think the idea was that Varian was under some sorta secret desire illusion thing and a fake illusion Hugo tries to confess to him but Varian figures it out mid way (kinda like that scene in TTS where Raps is in that fake world in her head, except I imagined it was if Hugo kissed him then he’d be stuck in his illusion)

I just imagine midway Varian is just like “nah this isn’t him, he’d never be this sincere” lol
