btw if you were wondering if ryou’s a little shit in manga then

i present to you the evidence

1) that post abt playing along with mai’s alleged coma

2) him dicking around marik’s mime

(can i just note that he totally didnt know they were marik’s omg can u spell soulmates)

3) creeping joey out with his occult thing and not being bothered bc of it (king)

(you could argue that it was the spirit impersonating him and not really ryou but i like to think that it really was him)

4) “so yeah i was possessed by an evil spirit and brainwashed by someone at the same time and kinda died? but it’s cool now haha” i cannot believe this guy

5) simping over the ring even though it has been made painfully clear that it is inhabited by a dark essence

i mean sure, the first pic is from Duelist Kingdom and the ring did help and spirit did promise to play nice

but the others are from after the battle city and like???? i know the ring is valuable for him but i dunno, is he that desperate for it to reconcile with a tiny psycho in his mind? (or is the spirit one of the reasons he’s so desperate for it? lol)

so in conclusion Yeah, he’s a little shit and i love him. shame he didn’t get as much time in the anime as he did in the manga
