Daibutsu ( 大仏) Great Buddha of Kamakura is located on the grounds of Kotoku-in Temple. Originally cast from bronze in 1252, it has been standing in open air (not enclosed in a building) since 1495. For ¥20, visitors can go inside the Buddha. Photos by D.
