Hey! So, my voice dysphoria has been progressively getting worse, and my mental health has been suffering because of it.

So I'm starting a fundraiser for voice feminization lessons that are becoming imperative for my well-being.

I found out that the teacher I would ideally like to take lessons with has availability as soon as next month, but I'd need to pay for the lessons within two weeks of booking them.

The fundraising goal is a package deal of lessons that typically gets students to a feminine range.

This has been going really well so far off the spread it's had on Twitter, but I could definitely still use a boost to get me to my goal! Anything you can pitch in would help a lot!

I also appreciate any reblogs to help spread this!

Mostly keeping my Tumblr up for posterity at this point, but still might pop in to share things I’ve worked on. So here’s the most recent video essay I’ve made!

This video essay on 20th Century Women took 3 years of work, but I finally finished it. It tackles the film's structure, examines it as a visual essay, and looks at its empathetic resonance through a transgender lens.

I'm really really proud of it.

This essay significantly changed shape over time, but I'm really really glad I took my time and was eventually able to be in a place to bring it to this final version.

I’m not very active on here anymore, but I wanted to drop by to share a long-awaited new album from one of my favorite artists alive, Owen Pallett. He’s an openly queer violinist, composer, and lyricist of fantastic baroque pop for almost 20 years and someone whose music has meant a lot to me as an adolescent gay (and, in lots of ways, as an adolescent trans person as well).

His newest album Island is one he’s been working on for 6 years now, itself a sequel to his 2010 album Heartland. It’s an absolutely phenomenal record, exceeding even my biggest expectations that have been building over time. It’s an intricately detailed album, one whose soundscapes feel cinematic and whose emotional arcs feel way more introspective and pained than anything he’s done before.

It’s really really really good, and I’m glad that the wait yielded an album as good as this one.

Been forever since I last made a mashup album, but being stuck inside gave me lots of time... so, here it is. The fifth DJ Bowler Hat album.

Been a long time. SOLITUDE brought me back.

Forgot to post the first music release I’ve put out under the name Osmosis Kid! This one’s all electronic/drum’n’bass/techno. Got another album on the way real soon and it’s absolutely nothing like this release. Enjoy.
