after inputting some complex algorithms into my super computer i’ve determined what tumblr will look like in the year 2020

i love how this comes back after every shitty update staff makes

Declutter Tumblr

The new layout it a whole mess. Thankfully Xkit can already help with a bunch of this! I'm sure it'll give more options soon.

Vanilla Tumblr: (I have marked in red what can be removed. The tabs can be set not to stick, so you will really only see them at the top of your dash. Empty box on the left for hidden notifications and shop sparkle, i just didn't have any. I'm EU so no Live for me).

Also what is lost in the debate around the actors' and writers' strikes is that these aren't regular, predictable jobs where you clock in every day for years. This business is by its very nature project-based and therefore precarious. Even for the industry's a-listers the next job isn't guaranteed. Even a box office hit doesn't necessarily translate into a sustained career, but one flop can end one. If you are between productions you are not employed. Films are self-contained pieces and this trend of sequel upon prequel upon spin-off is, at least in this intensity, a fairly new one. Even if you land a role on a tv show there's no guarantee that it'll be picked up for a next season, or that your character won't be killed off. There's no job security inherently, and therefore it's even more important to fight for being able to live off these jobs.
