Some people get abused for 20 years and then go on to live a good life. Some people are severely mentally ill for a decade and then go on to have 30 amazing years. So don't give up on yourself because your recovery takes more than six months. There's still hope!

Anonymous asked:

What's the point of going on living?

We do not have a life, we have an experience of life: we aren’t living, we are experiencing; and experience is the entire purpose of life, and life itself is spontaneous. Where we go wrong is in trying to control the experience, rather than allowing it to be spontaneous, in the same way that life is. We’ve decided, as a collective, that we have to get somewhere, that there is somewhere this experience is supposed to take us and in trying to get “there”, we stop experiencing and and start existing. And it is only a person who is existing who asks the question: “What is the point of living?”. Go back to experiencing and this question disappears.

We don’t perceive. We flow through potential in which we SEEM to perceive. We don’t choose. We flow through potential in which we SEEM to choose. We don’t exist. We flow through potential in which we SEEM to exist. It feels like life, so it matters not how the state of experience is achieved.

I know it seems like a long week ahead, but you can do this. You can make it to Friday. And if that seems impossible, try to make it to the end of the day. Allow yourself to go each day at a time, resting in between them and taking care of yourself. You will make it each day. You can do this.

Stop living in the old story. Stop repeating the old story. Stop believing in the old story. You can have anything you want. Stop settling for less.

Here is my brand new challenge! So many people have asked if I would be doing it again this year and I really hope you will all enjoy doing it! I’m so excited to get to know you all through the posts and celebrate winter with you!

❄️ Info ❄️

  • If you do the challenge, use the tag #winter studying challenge so I (and others) can see your posts. I will try to reblog as many posts in the tag as possible.
  • This challenge will run for 6 weeks - from the 1st December to the 14th January
  • There are daily prompts for every day of the challenge
  • But, as always, I don’t expect everyone to be able to post every day so you can always do catch-up posts!
  • If you have any questions, feel free to send me an ask!

❄️ Rules ❄️

  • If you want to do the challenge, please reblog this post
  • If you do it on any other social media platform (ie. Instagram), please give credit (my instagram | my tiktok | my pinterest)
  • The challenge will officially start on the 1st December, but if you come across this later, you can definitely start anytime during these six weeks!
DISCLAIMER: Quite a few of the prompts in December are to do with Christmas because that is what I celebrate at this time of year. I was very aware of that when I was writing the prompts but I did not think that I knew enough about other festivals and holidays at this time to write prompts about them. I did not want any prompts I made to be disrespectful. If you don’t celebrate Christmas, please know that this challenge is still for you! You can either just use the prompts anyway (if they are applicable) or adapt them to fit the festival or holiday that you celebrate. If it is impossible to adapt, then simply tell me about what you celebrate during winter because I am excited to learn about them!
