Jupiter has been retrograde ever since June 20th, and is now finally stationing direct on the same day as Mercury!
The time of Jupiter being retrograde mostly invites us to focus on our spiritual beliefs, higher education and personal philosophy.
Depending on which one of your houses Jupiter was transiting during these past 4 months, you were challenged to rethink some of your beliefs and opinions related to the themes of that house.
Jupiter is the planet of expansion, prosperity and growth. When it is in retrograde, it slows us down, so we can take a step back and see how we might be able to change our ways in order to grow and attract more abundance.
Many of us were tested during this Jupiter Retrograde, to see if we are truly ready to acheive great success and fortune. You also might have been forced to face your own toxic behaviors or addictions and finally change your old way.
Hopefully you’ve done some self-reflection and took the time to figure out what is it that you want to attract into your life.
Be ready to receive success and abundance. Trust that what is yours won’t miss you.
And remember to accept only what is for your highest and greatest good. Nothing else.
Correspondence: Times of the Day
Morning: Daylight hours are best for matters of the conscious mind including magick for leadership, and intelligence of all cognitive functions. The Sun is a welcome friend to chase any shadows hiding in our lives. It is regarded as a beneficial sign of divine blessing when it shines on any special occasion. Mystical pursuits during daylight hours can be empowered when combined with a southerly wind.
Night: The intuitive emotional self, maternal nature, healing fertility, and moon magick, wishing on stars, dreams, the eternal nature of the spirit, ancient mysteries. If your observance can incorporate the west wind, all the better. This breeze is filled with flowing water and peacefulness.
Dawn: Beginning any ritual, spell, or celebration at dawn commemorates a new beginning, freshens warmth, and renews hope. An especially potent time for spring observances. Magick performed at dawn can also be accentuated by working with an east wind.
Dusk: Closing and ending are the messages dusk brings. Dusk marks a temporary change towards darkness. It’s a time to look within oneself and ponder universal truths. It is an excellent time to perform rites that mark the passage of a loved one, intense personal transitions, or to mark the end of a cycle. Magick performed at dusk gets aid from a north wind.
Midnight and Noon: Commonly called the in-between hours, hanging between night and day. The most active times for elemental creatures are Noon and Midnight. Excellent for all magick pertaining to positive modifications, endings, and beginnings.
Reblog to have something good happen at 1:42 tomorrow
Trust yourself. You’ve survived a lot, and you’ll survive whatever is coming.
If you don't know where to start.
Before I start I would like to refer beginner witches to this post. If you still want to continue after reading it, you're more than welcome to!
I would also like to mention that my way isn't the only way, so if one or more of these steps don't work for you, change them to fit your practice. :)
Step 1
Find a deity you would like to work with. Or just any deity that you feel drawn to for whatever reason. Maybe you like Hades because of the Disney movie "Hercules". Or you think Thor and Odin are cool because they're mentioned a lot in "How to train your dragon".
No matter how silly you think your reason is, there's nothing wrong with being drawn to a deity!
Step 2
Research. A lot.
And I know that this isn't everyone's favorite thing to do but I promise it's important and it will be useful to know who you're talking to eventually.
Researching can be reading or listening to someone telling this deity's myths or talking to people who already work with them (although you need to be aware of the fact that everyone else's experiences will vary from yours).
Step 3
Make an altar for your deity, decorate it with stuff that is associated with them or anything you think they may like.
I would suggest starting out with worshipping before anything else. Leave them offerings of food, candy, water, alcohol or cool rocks and sticks you found outside.
Do things in their honor and tell them "Hey XY, I'm doing _____ in your honor". You can do that out loud or in your head.
For example, I personally do to honor Loki is sticking up for myself and being unapologetically authentic. I don't do that 100% of the time because it's still sometimes difficult, and that's okay. I know he appreciates it.
You can also meditate and ask them to join you, or just tell them about your day before you go to bed.
Step 4
Whenever you feel ready, grab a divination tool and ask your deity if they would be willing to work with you.
Make sure it's really them! (ask them questions about their mythology)
If they say no, ask again to confirm the answer. Then thank them for letting you know and say goodbye. You can still continue to worship them. You can also ask why they don't want to work with you if that's something you're interested in. Most of the time it will be something like it not being the right time for you to team up, or them not thinking you're ready for the lessons they would teach you.
Now you can pick another deity and start the whole process again if you want.
If they say yes, ask again to confirm the answer. What you can do now is ask them what they would want to teach you, if they'd be okay with assisting you in spellwork or similar things. Just ask them whatever you want to know.
Congratulations! You now work with a deity! ^^
sometimes i actually get my shit together but then i lose it again like 2 days later
