i have something precious i want to share with the world: kindness, hope and unconditional love.

there's so much hatred and apathy in the world right now. so much disgust and repulsion between everyone. if you, like me, are tired of looking at the state of this world -- maybe you can stand up for what's right.

maybe you can empower yourself, heal yourself to be a leader of your own life. maybe you can turn to those who pose challenges in your circles and argue back, fight back, change the world one person at a time.

i believe to heal Nature, to reform society so we treat everyone with respect and kindness, and to progress past capitalism, we need to each change the way we behave and think. on a deep level. we need to nurture a sacrality for not just Nature, but people. everyone. even that bigot you hate. even that radfem that sucks. even that ableist who hurt you.

but to do that, we need to feel safe, comfortable and sacred within ourselves first. we need a community of leftists that are like-minded, and willing to use the arts to promote change and transform the world.

maybe this all sounds too good to be true. maybe you're doubting yourself, or me, and don't want to take any chances. but i'll say one more thing: you are never obligated to do anything.

i'll leave a link a here, just in case this resonated.

Kill your leaders

I'm dumbstruck that so many people are framing this as a battle between political parties

biden/harris are specifically being referenced in the above tags

biden's covid response was worse than trump's biden's gifts of money and power to cops is staggering, historical, openly and specifically aimed against dissident americans

Miharu and Yoite would watch this for a full hour and Yukimi would let them. He would get mad about the music and make them turn it down to at least a dim background noise level but then he would get distracted from whatever important thing he was doing and also watch it with them for at least 10 whole minutes before remembering that he was writing an article or doing taxes or something

Disability Pride month let's not forget about the people in our community with intellectual disabilities!

I just found out about the Stay Up Late campaign to advocate for people with intellectual disabilities to have the right to go out in the evening and not have to be in bed by 8pm

I learned about it from this video:

And I found the website for the campaign which is here:

Let's support all members of our community

One thing I urge adults to unlearn is the stigma surrounding forgetfulness.

Perfect memory retention is rare. A faulty memory can be the result a host of mental illnesses, from ADHD to PTSD. It's not a sign that someone wasn't listening. I have a friend that has a four year gap in her memory due to trauma. I have another with poor short term memory retention because that's one of their autism symptoms.

Your brain can also trick you into misremembering things. I can't tell you how many times I've remembered putting my keys somewhere and unearthed them in a completely different place. I have to remind myself what my birth date is because I said it wrong once and now the wrong date is in my memory forever. I have to come up with mnemonics for birthdays, anniversaries, and events because my brain doesn't do numbers for some reason.

I see people bicker about forgetting a person's favorite food or what their mothers favorite color. I think it's important to forgive people who forget easily.
