Hide was the real mvp! Spoilers... thinking about it I think kaneki might of ate hide and the end of the Manga which makes sense for why they killed him off in the anime. Reasons why well Hide met him in the sewer and then boom he's gone and kaneki is magically healed. He did say that he needed to eat someone. Plus we haven't seen him in the new series.
