I was just getting enough spoons to start posting here again and came across the news that Tumblr's parent company is going to start selling off data here for AI datasets. Sooooo, idk what to do at this point. Due to the nature of reblogging, I can't even wipe my stuff from Tumblr if I wanted to.

If you enjoy any of my art at all, please consider checking out my Ko-fi over at ko-fi.com/tonkai for now.

Here's a peek at some things I've been posting over on my ko-fi while taking a social media break. Ps. If you've messaged me recently, I'll be writing you back soon.

Listen I'm a little drunk but... yarn crafts are so important. Textile arts are the backbone of society. All of us take our clothing and accessories and upholstery for granted and it's honestly shocking

I used to buy affordable t-shirts and they were comfy and nice, now I buy them in the same price range and they're sandpaper. They don't wick away moisture and the print comes undone after two washes. I buy denim and the crotch falls apart in months. I read about how modern Singer sewing machines are disappointing and then look at the delicate machining and the beautiful finishes on my 1857 machine and wonder if this is progress?!

Reblog if you're desperate for clothing that doesn't feel like sandpaper or if you like machines that go thunk instead of going obsolete in two years

For the last three weeks have been sinking every spare moment into sewing dice bags as holiday gifts for both of my D&D groups. It’s been slow going since I’ve never done this before and was working on a borrowed sewing machine as mine was down a part. Also the chronic fatigue gifted to me by long Covid that has never gone away did not help.

But behold! Each has multiple inner pockets and holds piles of dice! The interiors have different fabric patterns to add pizazz. Pictured are the the three that turned out the best of the 15.

Above is what one looks like laid out flat (still with chalk marks). Shoutout to @firesidetextiles for the amazing fabric used for this beauty and a few of the other bags!!!

These look fantastic! Incredibly special gifts to create and make for your group. I adore how you did the witch one and combo'd the prints together. It's cute to think about using the outside as a travel board to talk to the spirits on the go. Magical work!

A custom magnetic embroidery bobbin charm needle minder. The commissioner picked dmc#550, which is probably my fav purple of theirs. Commissions for miniature bobbin minders with or without the scissors, plus diy bobbins for your own projects, are both available through my kofi.

Been awhile since I felt up to working on the starry salmon design, but I've picked it back up recently. Here's where it's at right now. My plan includes a secondary color added in on top of each blue streak for extra highlights.
