when you think about it, the breath of the wild/tears of the kingdom combo really puts its players in a real time version of the ocarina of time experience.
in breath of the wild in 2017 we grew to love this world and all its little towns and then we get put in what feels like a limbo of waiting nearly 7 years only to get tears of the kingdom and learn that all the places we love have been altered in some way by ganondorf and his monsters
it’s very much that same feeling of leaving the bustling castle town behind to find it in complete ruins after getting out of the temple of time in ocarina of time
