This is insane to you but you’re in love with your friend so you’re like okay…and then Jeff Bezos regains his memories and runs off to live out his queer love story. You’re like “well that was INSANE wasn’t it? Let’s go do boozy brunch to get over it and also I might be in love with you”…..but your friend/love of your life is like “this is awkward but I’m actually the new CEO of Amazon”…….that would be terrible wouldn’t it? Since 2x01 everything he's done has been motivated by someone else's needs or wants
He enlisted to provide for his family. He didn't oppose his parents telling him how to raise his own kid when he was discharged. He worked several jobs, uprooted his life, skimped on personal affects for his space, made a new family, all for Chris. Was willing to start over with Shannon and then just as willing to split because it's what she wanted. Went to therapy to appease Bobby. Dated Ana because he assumed it was a good thing to do based on societal timeline pressure. Stayed with Ana because Chris loved her. Talked about his trauma and left the 118 for Chris. Went to therapy again because he scared Chris and Buck. Let Buck drag him to the horse therapy place because he said it was for Chris. Answered Buck’s questions about the shooting because he knew buck needed to hear it. Took Buck to poker because he knew he was feeling lost. Dating again to appease Pepa. Talks about his trauma again because Buck needed to. Dates Marisol because Pepa and Chris encouraged it.
Buck may be "the fixer", but Eddie is "the accommodator"
