i was with my mother’s family and they were talking to me about my religious studies major. my great aunt asked me what the definition of hell was, and i responded “well i suppose it depends on who you ask.” and nearly all the protestants in the group decided that hell was “the absence of god” which i suppose is a fair answer, albeit not a universal one. my cousin’s wife was playing with her 3-year-old daughter and she says “well mommy says that hell is a mcdonald’s playplace” asdfghjhgfd

this 3-year-old girl is so fucking hilarious. her mothers have signed her up for a toddler yoga class, and so she has adopted a very unique language. this child also has an imaginary friend named “mom” which is, in her mind, the boss of her two mothers. for example, my cousin’s wife explained to me how her daughter got mad at them one time. the little girl situated herself in the corner of her crib, pretended to type on a cell phone and said  “im writing an email to mom right now and telling her how bad you two are. namaste.”

the family’s Big Theory about “Mom” is that both my cousin and her wife are referred to as “Mommy” and “Mama.” The nickname “Mom” is not used in the house because it would just be confusing. However, when interacting with the world, people tell their daughter that they will “tell her mom” if she is doing something wrong. so this child automatically assumes there is this greater “Mom” figure that is responsible for distributing universal justice. 

To be fair to the toddler, that’s pretty much how religions get started.

I think that, within the Star Wars fandom (and not just Rebels'), we don't talk enough about Kallus. Seriously, the guy has gone from a one-dimensional villain with a negative charisma level that you see in any mid cartoon to one of the best developed characters in the series, if not Star Wars in general.

Not to mention that, as far as I know, he's the only character in the saga to have been given a REAL redemption arc (and no, Vader and Kylo Ren don't count).

Edit: Bo Katan's case is interesting, but it's not really a redemption arc either.

My dashboard did a funny

one of my favorite things about mtmte first aid is the fact that he’s just some guy who seems pretty well adjusted but has hints of being a freak.

his coworker is brutally murdered, sawn in half top to bottom, by their former boss and he spends the next six months refusing to talk to anybody or even leave his workshop.

ratchet blatantly implies that first aids newest obsession is dead bodies after ambulons death.

then well into LL they reveal that they didn’t bury/have some kind of funeral with ambulons body when they were back on cybertron but instead that his body which was previously sawn in half and turned into a gun was transformered back into his root mode and capable enough of transforming into his alt mode, leaning pretty heavily on the idea that first aid totally spent those months working on trying to fix and revive ambulon.

God fuck I wish I had the notebooks with me rn but. For the record. The original outline for all this was, as per Roberts himself, 100% that First Aid was trying to necromancy Ambulon's corpse, ftr. Like that did turn out to be why this shit is in here. That was very much the plan.

She loves exploring portuguese tiling, and her work includes eras that are solely focused on tiles.

She has also went through phases where she explored cracks in ink and in tiling

And of course that evolved into bloody cracks and slashes on tiles, like the walls are living beings

Which then became her iconic meat walls, but I also love her pool paintings, it's a completely different kind of unsettling more akin to liminal spaces
