Everyone else talked about outdoor cats, it's time for me to talk about offleash dogs

Reasons not to have your dog offleash at a public park:

1) roads (this one is self-explanatory)

2) it makes the park inaccessible to like, entire swathes of the population. If you have experience with police dogs or guard dogs in your neighborhood, or you're a new immigrant from somewhere with a large population of feral dogs, it sucks ass going to the park and having someone's massive lab bound up to you!

3) If, for example, you are in a protected wetland area plastered with friendly signs asking you to please leash your dog to avoid causing an ecological impact, having your dog offleash might cause an ecological impact! "Oh no, my dog is well-behaved, they would never bother the wildlife" wrong! your dog is in the pond trying to eat the endangered Blandings' turtles!

4) Non-zero chance of a jokerified park guide (me) just clipping your dog to a leash and stealing them

5) Other people with dogs! It sucks total ass having to constantly watch whether your totally uncontrolled ~furbaby~ is about to Start Shit with my properly leashed pet. It sucks even more ass when they do, which seems to happen about 25% of the time frankly!

6) People with Allergies trying to share a public space and do not want your "friendly" dog getting near them because they do not want to spend the night in hospital thanks!

7) People with mobility aids who don't want your dog messing with them. Your dog is jumping up on my scooter, I am worried for my scooter. I am worried that I am going to run over your dog if I don't have stopping distances correct! Your dog has never seen a mobility scooter and is freaking out.

Please. Just leash your fucking dogs, or take them to an actual dog park not a public path.

8) other dogs! My dog has been attacked by off leash dogs like. At least four times. Cannot get babygirl to take walks anymore at all. It’s so sad.

Having to explain to way too many people that no, Iran doesn’t have nuclear weapons.

Do you have any idea the infrastructure required to just build a bomb, let alone test it? We’re talking about thousands of workers, hundreds of acres of facilities, just for fuel production alone.

Not to mention the actual testing of a device. No military in the world will willingly use a weapon that has not been tested in the real world. Computer simulations still aren’t able to accurately render what happens inside of a nuclear weapon at the moment of detonation.

Accurately measuring the yield (explosive power) of a nuclear weapon requires detonation, and extensive instrumentation. The setup of such a test is large and distinctive enough that it can be detected via satellite and aerial photography of test sites, as happened in 1977 in South Africa. The USSR got wind of a pending test and informed the US (yes, really), who overflew the site with an SR-71, and told South Africa to knock it the fuck off.

Iran is probably the most surveiled country in the world besides North Korea. They don’t have nukes.

Israel does, though, and Israel scares me.

Talking points like these are hold overs from the war on terror, and much like 9/11 the US government and their proxies in corporate media are going to use this moment to push for more war. Make sure you don't believe the bullshit.

And yet, the mainstream media has been framing this as Iran, for no reason (other than ohhh evil Iran), just decided to launch attacks on Israel.

Almost no mention that Israel blatantly violated the Geneva convention or that Iran said that they would refrain from retaliating if Israel and the U.S. agreed to a ceasefire.

And the Biden administration is going right along with this, they are so far beyond morally bankrupt at this point and I am utterly disgusted to call myself an American.

Shame on Joe Biden, his administration and any Democrat who, for the past 6 months, have had a roll in leading us to where we are now, the risk of a wider regional war, and 35,000 Palestinians murdered all because they have so little humanity that the lives of Palestinians mean less than nothing to them.

There is a special place in hell for these ghouls and I hope they never know a moment of peace for the rest of their miserable, despicable lives.

Do westerners realize that a direct Iranian attack against Israel is literally unprecedented & that this strike marks a major shift in all that’s been happening & that this is grounds for interception by the US. Does anyone realize that Iranian drones have to cross Iraq to access and strike Israel, making it an all too perfect situation for Iraq to be sucked into what could be a regional war. Does anyone realize how serious this is. We have families there.

Usually the substitutes are mostly harmless, but it isn't as if companies care about consumer safety when there's profit to be made.

To clarify, the list linked is ALL hand sanitizer products officially recalled (and may have ongoing additions). It is NOT just the Aruba Aloe brand; there are many brands by various manufacturers on the list. So please check to see if you own anything on that list.

Why is it that the buzz around the Central World Kitchen massacre lasted so long it practically drowned out everything else, but the ongoing, daily attacks on the Palestine Red Crescent Society don’t get any coverage? Israeli settlers have not stopped at Ramallah, the attack from a few days ago that injured multiple Palestinians; now they’ve moved on to al-Mughayir, a village near it, and the injuries coming out of that are equally barbaric. But it’s not just normal individuals they’re attacking—they’re opening fire on paramedics trying to reach those wounded too.

Like I don’t think it’s being properly reported just how frequent these attacks are. I feel like mainstream media is in a lull right now, where you don’t see much coverage about IOF attacks on residential areas—but they are still absolutely happening, and they are happening every single day. Two dead from an attack in central Gaza, IOF attacks on the PRCS this morning in al-Far’a, literally assaulting a volunteer paramedic before releasing him, and now allowing Israelis to continue attacking ambulances trying to attend to Palestinians after village raids. And this came in light of Biden’s shock and awe speech about protecting aid workers. It’s revolting.
