I just came across some Ziam posts and um.. I think I believe in Ziam now. I literally only needed one post w a bunch of gifs and I'm convinced. Call me easy and trusting and whatever tf but I know love when it's pointed out to me. Like in one you can LITERALLY WATCH LIAM KISS ZAYN'S ARM! If that's not proof idk what is.

Op, thank you for being so candid about how your perspective changed and why. I think a lot of people who discover Larry first and who have been in the fandom a long time don’t want to look into the Ziam rumors because they have trouble admitting that they might have missed another closeted gay couple in their favorite band. I was like that at first - I got into 1D and Larry way back in 2011 or 2012, and didn’t really take the Ziam rumors seriously until 2019. But in my defense, I dipped out of the fandom and mostly ignored 1D from mid 2013 to March 2019. I was busy with grad school (im old) and didn’t like how sad they looked in 2013. But a few months after I discovered Larry master posts and Larry centric blogs on tumblr, I decided to take those Ziam rumors more seriously, mainly because one of my favorite blogs at the time said that they might be true, and Liam was definitely not straight and appeared to dealing with a similar closeting scenario to Louis, and shady management. All of that still seems to be true. And this isn’t me hating on Cheryl either; She is also rumored to be queer and linked to her former bandmate. And regardless, as a veteran of the music industry, she has probably dealt with plenty of bullshit behind the scenes over the years.

The thing that really convinced me back in 2019 was a series of YouTube videos that explains Liam and Zayn’s relationship really well. I call them the ILYSM videos or “the Story of Ziam”. I think the original videos were made with the phrase “I Like Your Skirt Mary” which was I think something Liam and Zayn said to each other in public as code for “I Love You So Much”. I think so. The videos I saw were uploaded by another fan who called them “I Like Yogurt School Mondays”. Check the first one out here:

I still think these videos are really well done, even though I disagree with a few of their finer points years later. Mainly I think Danielle Peazer was a beard from the start and she and Liam never really dated. No hate to her either - I don’t dislike beards simply for bearding - I judge their character in other ways. And Liam’s sisters have continued to be friendly with Danielle on social media over the years. That’s good enough indication to me that she is a decent person and didn’t hurt Liam. They’re not friendly like that with Kate and they don’t even follow Maya on IG 👀

I hope you like the videos! They have tons of cute 1D moments from interviews and concerts 🥰 And they break down their matching tattoos and jewelry up to that point. I watch X these all in about a week, and that convinced me that they must have been together at least in the band days. Then I started to reassess my assumption that Niall was straight…spoiler alert: I changed my mind about that too a week later. 😆

Like Larry, it’s basically impossible to say for sure how their relationship progressed and whether or not they broke up once the band went on hiatus. Like Larry, haven’t been seen in public together since. The one possible exception I can think of is a boxing match that they were both seen at in I think February 2020. It was right before the pandemic. There have been a ton of coincidences over the years that make many Ziam fans think they stayed together right until the end 🥹 Many others think they broke up at some point, or were on again off again over the years, but definitely cared about each other very deeply. Some Ziam believers think they both actually identify as Bi, but I don’t follow many who think they dated the women they have been linked to, or have kids. I don’t think they are fathers, but I could be wrong. The UK government has decided that Liam is a father and that Bear will inherit his estate, so idk 🤷‍♀️

Whatever happened over the years, I’m convinced that Liam and Zayn were deeply in love at one time and had a committed relationship for years. 🥰

I don’t just want to send you to YouTube even though I think that is a good place to start, and there are other channels that have done regular updates of Ziam coincidences over the years- try the “pterodactyl bros” one. There are lots of great Ziam masterposts here too. I’ve reblogged many of them, so you should be able to find them if you search Ziam masterpost or masterpost on my blog. Some other blogs who I think also have good Ziam master posts are: @yaz-the-spaz @justapayneaway and @ziammyloves25 . there definitely are plenty of blogs who are Ziam centric like @ziamminds and @zaynmaliksmiddlefinger and 1D fans who believe in Larry and Ziam and follow all five guys. I think @goldenfive is one of them and I’m pretty sure she helps run at least one of the Larry friendly update accounts. I also recommend following the Ziam tag on tumblr because it’s not that busy, and you will probably discover some new blogs or interesting discussions that way. It does sometimes get spam porn posts that we have to report to make them go away, and it’s not even Ziam porn, so fair warning for that. I did make a post last year to try to get active Ziam blogs to share and circulate to help people find new blogs to follow. I can try to find that and share it again. Or you can try making one.
