I love being nonbinary and the culture we have built up together. It's beautiful! It's supportive and uplifting. The dysphoria, not so much but that's a story for another day..

I don't want to be a mentor or blueprint for what it means to be myself. I can't speak for everyone like me and I wouldn't want to.

I don't love feeling like I have to be revolutionary pioneer or an example to the world. I never asked for this! I never asked for any of this. I just want to live my life accepted and not having to justify my very existance to the world just to deserve my place in it

god i love reading about stupid drama in ancient greece. like there was an athlete named theagenes who was so good at every kind of athletic contest that when he died, one of his opponents would go to beat the shit out of a statue of him out of spite, but then one day the statue fell on the guy and killed him so the greeks took the statue to court for murder, convicted it, and threw it into the sea

actually i left out the best part of this story which is that a plague then struck and when people consulted the oracle at delphi she was like "well you've pissed of theagenes" so they had to go dig the statue back up out of the fucking water

LOOK AT THIS!! NO STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND LOOK!!! OMG

It takes a lot for me to see anything before I see Sherlock, but Sally dominates this image so perfectly that I had to force my gaze away from her: how bluebell caught them in motion so perfectly that Sally’s frothy skirt is in mid-flight; how they rendered so brilliantly a dress I described so approximately; how they made her hair look like a Greco-Roman goddess; of course August fell in love with her, I just did, myself!

Thank you Bluebell, your art lifts my spirits always, and this one is a particularly exhilarating painting. Thank you a million billion.
