i know since writers and actors are already striking thats gonna take up most of the news space on social media but like. ups has until july 31st to meet the teamster's demands and if not then theyre going on the biggest strike against a single corporation since the early 1900s. the uaw (auto manufacturers union) contract is up this fall, and i believe the alu (amazon labor union) is as well. there's a huge possibility that they might strike as well, depending on how long the ups strike lasts.
im seeing a lot of talk about hollywood going down but i want to see more talk about labor rights and working class solidarity across the board... like A Lot of shit is about to go down
we're about to see a lot more propaganda by more than just hollywood, we're about to see a lot of bullshit political moves on local, state, and federal levels. dont fall for it. workers have power.

When I taught swim lessons I remember trying to delicately ask parents not to cover their child in shea/coconut/olive oil before lessons.

I am so determined to fall more in love with life. intentionally romanticising the walks I am on, the birds chirping, the blooming nature around me, the water in my cup of tea turning from a light peach tone to a dark pink, the poetry I write, the things I am learning, my handwriting, dozing off while sitting in front of my window, all of it and more. I have to take a closer look at the little things that make my heart beat faster.
I like that Zelda doesn’t seem to want to do anything to rebuild the monarchy. She’s all about the community and outlying towns, and keeping all the various kingdoms together as friends than she is about restoring Hyrule Castle. It’s even explicitly stated that the castle has fallen into ruin after the calamity, meaning she’s done nothing to try and fix it up since.
She’s the last surviving member of the Royal Family, and she spends her time traveling the countryside with Link solving everyone’s little problems and issues. She’d rather live her life in Hateno, building schools and helping children learn than uphold traditions and rules of the monarchy.
And I love that. She always hated the royal traditions with its pomp and circumstance, and she was always much freer and herself when she was out in the wild exploring and doing research.

during the wga/sag-aftra strike, we may see:
- film in other countries continuing as usual, but those actors/writers are NOT crossing picket lines! other countries unions often have rules where they can’t strike in solidarity with american unions.
- new indie movies separate from hollywood studios. indie movies can continue as usual too, and may even use union actors if they follow certain guidelines and/or get permission from the union.
- awards shows, although they might look different and may be postponed. if there are award shows during the strike, there’s a chance they will just be live conferences announcing winners with no celebrations attached.
- celebrities will not be promoting their work during this time— that WOULD be crossing the picket line! yes, this includes social media. they can still post on social media, as long as it doesn’t pertain to their work.
- a lot more reality tv. this happened the last time there was a writers strike, and it will certainly happen again.
- actors will also not be able to campaign for awards. this awards season is going to be a strange one.
- propaganda from hollywood. they are already trying to flip the narrative by claiming they can break the unions, but they can’t. the strikers have the power. stand with them for however long this takes!

annabeth chase is a girl with abandonment issues who always had the people she loved choose something or someone else over her. her father chose his other family, luke chose kronos, thalia chose the hunters but now she has found someone who will choose her over the entire world. she has finally found the love she deserves, a love who will always come back to her.
It started as a little joke but to be completely honest I really lost perception of time after 2020...
