Hello

@fatturtul

The name is Ashley

What they don't mention about #growingupwithstrictparents:

- The resentment that begins to build up and damage your relationship with your parents because your missing out on being a kid.

- The self destructive tendencies that develop when you get your freedom.

- Extreme Behaviour that can be dangerous because you feel as if you have to catch up on all the life you have been missing.

- A constant sadness that your never going to live life enough.

- Developing anxiety over doing things as simple as riding the bus.

- Massive issues with authority.

- Fear of commitment because you feel as though it is going to tie you down and take away from your freedom again.

etc…

And not a lie was spoken

this is so funny wtf

whenever i’m talking to someone and they tell me about something that happened to them i always tell them about something that happened to me that’s similar to what happened to them. i do it as kind of a “oh hey yeah this happened to me so i can relate to what you’re going through” but i’m always afraid it comes out as “oh yeah well this happened to me so clearly i have it tougher than you” or “i’m done talking about you let’s talk about me”

i swear i don’t mean it like that……..

do not read your child’s journal. i don’t care what the circumstances are, do NOT read your child’s journal. it will only teach your child that they have no safe place to express themself.

I’ll reblog this every day until I die

no offense but trying to find a problematic behavior on literally every single person and every single situation is absolutely ridiculous and maybe the problematic one is you

friend: are you okay?
me: yeah im fine.
friend: what does "fine" mean??
me: it means im perfectly content but also wouldn't mind if the sun exploded right now and killed us all

WATERCOLOUR MAKES ME NERVOUS JUST WATCHING IT IN USE

This actually why I love using watercolors. My painting professor thought that acrylic & oil paints were cheating because if you make a mistake, you can slap on more paint to cover it up. With transparent watercolors you have one chance to get it right so you need to think through what you’re doing.

Also, what you’re not seeing here is I’m sure the artist has many scrap pieces of test paper. The paints look different on the palette than on paper, so testing is crucial when it comes to watercolors.

A lot to think about, yes. But the result is worth it.

me: yeah im really tough

me: [gets scared by text notifications when they’re too loud]

me: [easily startled when people tap me on the shoulder]

me: [cries under any sort of pressure ever]

me: [cries when anyone raises their voice higher than their average volume]

me: so tough

id like to update you guys on my toughness and inform you that today i put my cup down too loudly and scared myself

i just remembered the one time me and my friends met panic way back in 2008 and i kept calling ryan ross by his full name until he finally said ‘hey just ryan works too, you know.’ and i was like ‘ok george’ and brendon laughed and ryan smiled along and mumbled a ‘shut up’ to him and my friend was like ‘george ryan ross the THIRD do not use that tone’ and brendon just lost his shit
