Mars in Pisces

The bold, direct energy of Mars and the ethereal, dreamy energy of Pisces are so very contradictory to one-another, that when Mars is travelling through this sign, he really seems to have no other choice but to slow down to try to gather his bearings. Mars is so used to darting here and there, knowing exactly where he is going, yet he’s now wading through the deepest of waters all of a sudden. Perhaps the latter is similar to the way Mars in Pisces natives often feel. As Pisces is ruled by Neptune, the giant planet who represents the ocean and is known to dissolve all she comes into contact with, it makes sense that some of the energies of Mars in these natives will generally be very much mellowed, giving that those with Mars in Pisces are probably much less likely to tend towards Mars’ blatantly aggressive or sexual nature than most, if not all of the other Mars signs.

Also lovers of escapism, it is likely that they can often escape into their wonderful minds where they can allow themselves to be as blissfully creative as they please, often by delving into fantasy fiction or by finding ways to express their oceanic depths artistically, whether by painting, playing music, dancing or through other creative literature. Adrien dragged a damp rag across the front counter once more and inhaled deeply, eyes darting to the large neon clock on the far wall. Two minutes. Two minutes and he could lock the door, count the drawer, and finally go back to his dorm room. He had three papers due at the end of the week and two tutor sessions to prepare for. Thankfully the night crowd had been lacking and all of the closing chores were done. 

His head shot up at the sound of the glass doors opening. A young woman trudged up to the counter. Her nose was bright pink and she barely looked up at him as she spoke. “Can I get an order of curly fries, please?” she sniffed, tone miserable.

Adrien inwardly groaned and glanced back at Nino, who was finishing up cleaning the kitchen. The other man shook his head vehemently and crossed his arms. 

The girl looked up at Adrien then and her eyes went wide as she caught sight of the time behind him. “Shit,” she swore. “You guys are practically closed. I’m so sorry.” Tears welled in her eyes and she looked down quickly, turning towards the door. “Sorry, have a good night.”

Adrien let her get halfway across the dining area before he was looking back at Nino. The other man threw his hands up in the air and turned away. “Wait!” Adrien called. “Are you okay?”

She turned halfway. “I’m fine,” she whispered and Adrien saw her shoulders shake with a silent sob.

“Can you…just hang on one minute for me, okay? Stay right there.” Adrien stepped back into the kitchen.

“Dude, no. I’m supposed to meet Alya in ten minutes,” Nino said immediately, leaning against the back counter.

“She looks so upset though.”

“So? You can’t do anything about that. The fryer is cleaned for the night anyway. She’ll have to cry over curly fries somewhere else.”

“Nino!”

Adrien was never the writing type. He did write well - written papers and essays – at least according to his teachers – and was even occasionally asked by a few of his classmates for some writing tips. But, it was for educational purposes only. He‘d never had any sort of passion to write an actual story and he never thought of himself as the imaginative kind anyway. His mind was almost always focused on school, his responsibilities set by his father, and his masked identity. He never really had that luxury of being able to think about anything else. Well, except for his Lady, but that was something entirely different.
