I just reread Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone for the second time since the first time I read it nearly ten years ago. Here are my thoughts:
Do books belong to me Or Do I belong to books?
What happens if we chose entertainment over humanity? In Collins's world, people are obsessed with grooming, they talk funny, and all their sentences will end with questions. The characters are completely realistic and sympathetic as they forge alliances and friendships to the face the overwhelming odds. The plot is tense, dramatic, and engrossing. When Katniss was sent to stylists to be made more telegenic before she competes, she stands naked in front of them, strangely unembarrassed. In order not to hate these creatures who are sending her to her death, she imagines them as pets. It isn't just the contestants who risk the loss of their humanity. It is all who watch. #mockingjaypart2 May the odds be ever in your favour. 👋 (at PANEM)
Necrophiliac. Only Tim Burton could make it look cute. Corpse Bride is one of my favourites #timburton #corpsebride #colourpencils #remake
