It’s taken many years and a lot of self-reflection to get to this point. There were times when I could have never put on this bathing suit and looked it the mirror. It’s been baby steps all the way. But, in the end, I’ve come to an understanding with my body. I deserve to live and enjoy my life in the body I am in, without apology. So, here I am, taking my beach body to the beach. Cheers to fat girl summer 👙 and finally getting a tan on my tummy!☀️🏖

I’ve been stepping out of the house without worrying about my arms and legs lately and I have to say, it’s been one of the best summers I’ve had in a while. I’ve been doing my very best to not worry about what people think. I’ve been trying my best to let go of societal pressure to look pleasing to everyone’s eyes but mine. I’ve been trying my best to not get tripped up on the male gaze and my worth as a femme relying on how good I look to a man. I look good to myself. I feel cool and comfortable with my bare arms and legs and I look cool and comfortable. 

To all my fat folx, you deserve to wear whatever you want to feel cool and comfortable in this heat, you are allowed to cover up if that is what makes you feel the best. You are allowed to dress in tiny skirts and shirts or bikinis, or crop tops. You are beautiful, you are important.
