Bill ruined Ford’s mental health. Ford couldn’t sleep, and he was so paranoid that he couldn’t answer the door to his own house without a weapon.

What Bill did was psychological abuse. So please don’t romanticize abuse. 

Yes! Ford was and is the victim of severe mental abuse. Ford:

These were so extreme the effects were that he:

Had and has intense paranoia:

Sleeping issues which from the journal entry below and the sleep deprived Ford above, he developed immediately after the Bill relationship:

Has not only been heavily implied to have hurt himself in the light of the Bill issue:

But confirmed to have done so out of fear of Bill:

Has gotten severe trust issues from their relationship:

Blames himself for a lot of things that were Bill’s fault:

Because he blames himself for all those things he also has little to no value for himself or his personal safety:

Because of their relationship he also has:

The psychological effects Bill has had on Ford are huge and you cannot deny Bill’s presence in Ford’s life has nearly destroyed it. Ford consistently displays strange and backward behaviour which can nearly always be traced back to Bill’s presence in his life. All the things listed above are very consistent with the effects of real life abusive relationships and we can 100% define Ford/Bill to have been one.

But besides being a victim of mental abuse (you thought I was done) Ford is also a victim of violation of personal space (which is abusive):

But also from actual, real physical abuse (specifically, being physically constrained without consent):

Ford is a very severe victim of intense abuse please ship him with sleep and peace not the horrible demon from hell. After all he’s suffered at that little waste of oxygen’s hands he deserves so much better than to be shipped with his abuser. 

TLDR: DO NOT SHIP FORD WITH BILL. BILL PHYSICALLY AND PSYCHOLOGICALLY ABUSED FORD. PLEASE DON’T ROMANTICIZE ABUSE.

Hell, please don’t ship Bill with ANYONE! 

Dipper and Mabel are twelve-year-olds. They are KIDS. That would be bad enough as it is, judging that not only is Bill an interdimensional triangle, he said himself that he is over a trillion years old in Part One of Weirdmageddon. So Billdip and Mabill are both pedophile.

But okay then. Say you make Dipper and/or Mabel older. Still not okay, as this is sexualizing minors! Please, don’t age up minors to ship them with adults/trillion year old triangles. Even if you make the triangle a human, it doesn’t work.

And even without all that, it’s still not a good or healthy ship! Let me just list what Bill does to Dipper and Mabel.

Pausing on this point. The events of Sock Opera did have a definite effect on Dipper. Need proof? Look no further than The Last Mabelcorn, where Mabel says this.

In the same episode, Dipper freaks out when he thinks that Ford is possessed by Bill. His expression and the animation doesn’t say much, but the voice acting says EVERYTHING (thank you Jason Ritter). He was TERRIFIED in this moment.

Speaking of Stan…

No. Still not okay. Even though Stan is an adult.

As all said before, Bill abused the Pines. Stan was abused as well.

With all those reasons in mind, I think it’s obvious why you shouldn’t ship Bill with Gideon, Wendy, Robbie, Pacifica, or any of the cast. But quick run-through!

Yes, he abused Dipper, Mabel, and Ford more than Stan and the others. Doesn’t change the fact that it is abuse.

Bill Cipher is an abuser. As all said above, he physically and psychologically abused Ford, manipulated everyone, and tried to kill EVERYONE. On SEVERAL OCCASIONS. Ship what you ship, but at least ADMIT that these ships are built on abuse. In my opinion, the entire cast of Gravity Falls deserves so much better.

dear non-spanish speakers writing spiderverse fanfiction (or anything with spanglish),

in spanglish you don’t switch by word, you switch by phrase.

it’s not:

“[first part of the sentence in english], [second part of the sentence in english], mi amor.”

“[full english sentence], querida.”

it’s:

“[first part of the sentence in english], [segunda parte de la frase en español], mi amor.”

also miles is boricua, miguel is mexican. they have two different accents and use different vocabulary for certain words.

also miles is “nyourican” - a puerto rican native to new york - while his mom is directly from the island, so there are differences there, too, because his spanish is more influence by new york english. 

here’s some good references that aren’t google translate (which usually pulls from spain, a country that speaks vastly differently from latin america)

in spanish most words are gendered, so most feminine words end in a and masculine/gender neutral words end in o. adding ito/ita makes something cuter, smaller and more affectionate.

spanish nicknames that aren’t “mi amor”

also spanish is a language that uses adjectives as terms of affection both cute ones and ones that might sound insensitive in english

and like most languages that are not english, spanish has multiple ways of saying i love you.

please use this because i have read a lot of really well written things that take me out of it because the use of spanglish is terrible. don’t just go on your presumptions that spanish/spanglish works in the same way that english does.
