People who insist that all fiction must be a perfect reflection of real life in all its boring detail should just go outside
It’s also such a serious, and blatantly genuine, misreading of what The Lord of the Rings is too. It’s a shitty shit-take if there ever was one.
World building is fun and all, but unless it’s directly relevant to the story, you don’t need to know every single autistic detail of the setting.
Kind of makes me want to spitball a fanfic about a taxman during the reign of King Elessar.
