Sequel to Skye the Vampire Slayer. Skye and Melinda are hoping to have a quiet summer after saving the world. But when an old friend of Melinda’s returns to Sunnydale with warnings about impending doom, they have to work together to save the world. Again.

Doctors of S.H.I.E.L.D. Year One: Pieces Solving a Puzzle
A year after a near-fatal heart attack, Dr. Phil Coulson decides to dedicate himself to improving the residency program at S.H.I.E.L.D. Memorial Hospital with the help of his longtime friend and colleague Dr. Melinda May.
This is a rewrite of our series Doctors of S.H.I.E.L.D., which we began writing during Season 1 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. At the time, we were trying to adapt each episode to a medical setting, and as the episodes moved away from a Case of the Week format, it became increasingly difficult to write them. But we loved the idea, and we've decided to give it another try. We are keeping the original series up on AO3 for the sake of nostalgia, now called "Doctors AU."
Each story in the series will be loosely inspired by a season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and will cover one year at S.H.I.E.L.D. Memorial Hospital.

Ship Stats in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fandom
For my next stats post, I wanted to compare the popularity of ships in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fandom in terms of both the number of fanworks and the number of creators.
By either metric, the most popular ship is Leo Fitz/Jemma Simmons. Almost 1000 creators have posted at least one work in the Leo Fitz/Jemma Simmons tag on AO3, and the number of creators posting in this tag grows every season.
The Leo Fitz/Jemma Simmons tag has both the most creators posting in it every month and the most fanworks posted in it every month. The other most popular ships are Skye | Daisy Johnson/Grant Ward (although the activity in that tag has dropped off since the end of Season 2), Phil Coulson/Melinda May, Phil Coulson/Skye | Daisy Johnson, and Jemma Simmons/Skye | Daisy Johnson.
The Phil Coulson/Skye | Daisy Johnson tag is interesting because it has a much higher ratio between the number of fanworks posted and the number of creators posting than any of the other tags. Most of the other tags have a ratio between 1 and 2 (meaning that on average, a creator posting in that tag posts 1-2 works per month), but the Phil Coulson/Skye | Daisy Johnson tag has an average ratio of about 4.

Creator Stats in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fandom
Inspired by @fffinnagain’s posts about the Sherlock fandom (x, x), I took a look at how many people have posted in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. over time, as well as how long people tend to stay active in the fandom.
The number of creators posting per month peaked in Season 2 and has been declining since mid-Season 3, although there is an uptick right now.
Out of all creators who have been active since the start of Season 4, about half posted their first works during Season 4. Only 15% have been posting since before Season 2.

Violet Baudelaire was the eldest Baudelaire child. She was 14 years old, right-handed, had a real knack for inventing and building unusual devices. When Violet Baudelaire tied up her hair like that, it was a sure sign the pulleys, levers and gears of her inventive mind were working at top speed.
Klaus Baudelaire was the middle child and only boy. He was a little older than 12 and wore glasses, which made him look intelligent. He was intelligent.
Sunny Baudelaire was an infant, a word which here means “a person of the age at which one mostly speaks in a series of unintelligible shrieks”, so most people had trouble understanding what she was saying. What Sunny lacked in communication skills, however, she made up for with the size and sharpness of her four teeth.

Melinda May couldn’t help but stare when Coulson drove up to S.H.I.E.L.D. academy in a red convertible. But he seemed oblivious to the crowd of curious cadets. He just got out and started inspecting the car’s pristine paint, rubbing imaginary scuffs with his sleeve.
May cleared her throat. “Nice car.”
I feel like that AoS fandom could use a little pick me up!
As the hiatus is going to be over much earlier this year, I figured a small AoS Appreciation Week to lift everyone’s mood for before the show comes back wouldn’t hurt. It will run January 2nd-January 9th, and is open to absolutely anyone who loves AoS and wants to show it!
Feel free to contribute in any way you want to, whether it’s making gifs, graphics, mixes or fanvids, writing fic or meta, creating fanart, etc. The prompts picked are inspired heavily by THIS appreciation week (because I thought they were super creative). I hope everyone enjoys the unusual prompts, because I thought the same ol’ stuff might get a little tedious.

They’re meant to be more open-ended so you can do what you like with them. Here are a few suggestions to get you going, though. For “Who run the world? Girls”, for example, you can make a gifset about your favorite female AoS character or show the ladies being bamfs in general. Write a fic about how they rock. For Day 3, pick scenes or moments that you found were very much about you! “Do you really want to hurt me?” is for those moments in AoS that broke your heart. Hope this makes sense :)

It’s based on a short-lived TV show called The Finder. It aired on Fox and was a spinoff of Bones. I have thought about writing a little Philinda AU based on this, but I haven’t yet.

After being blown up by an IED, Phil Coulson wakes up to discover that he has a compulsion to find things. He gets help from his best friends Melinda May, an attorney who is rebuilding her life after the death of her husband Andrew, and Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie, a bartender and graduate student in engineering. The newest member of their team is Daisy “Skye” Johnson, a hacker who works with them as part of her probation. Between the four of them, they always find what they’re looking for -- but what will happen to Coulson if they don’t?
After returning from Tahiti, Coulson has a hard time adjusting to his new life and ponders what he’s lost. Written for the Philinda Secret Summer for @hardcore-evil-regal, whose prompt was “Rearview” by Anastacia. Hope you enjoy!
