Rushed to snopes, hoping to find it’s a hoax - doesn’t seem to be, and it’s reported on The Independent and on Sky News and on The Guardian.

The auxiliary water pump on my car broke (the plastic rotted and cracked so it was spewing coolant everywhere) and the mechanic wanted me to pay $300 for a $150 part.

I went to an auto store and bought the part for just under $150 and was gonna have the mechanic install it until I called them back and they said they don’t install customer parts.

So I figured if they won’t install customer parts, they’ll at least fix existing problems with the vehicle.

So, naturally I poorly installed the new part myself, then took it to the mechanic saying I had coolant issues and wasn’t sure what the problem was. They fixed the problem in under 20 minutes and only charged me $30 for the labor.

I went to my doctor’s office and asked if they had any slots open for that day.  They told me they don’t take walk-ins, you have to call ahead for an appointment.

So I pulled out my phone and called the office.  The other receptionist answered the phone and the first one literally WATCHED ME say “I’d like to make an appointment today if you have any slots available.”

He said to me (on the phone) all they had available was for 9:00, could I make it in time?

I said “Yep, I’m standing right here.”

He didn’t understand what I meant and happily put my appointment down.

I hung up and said to the original receptionist, “Hi, I have an appointment in five minutes.”

She (very angrily) entered me as arrived and gave me my forms.

All About Cancer: The Crab

Basics

Cancer’s archetype is sensitive, domestic, turbulent, and intuitive. These personality aspects combine to portray the “crybaby” of the zodiac. The Crab is feeling and deeply aware of themselves and others, allowing them to take an interest in the nature of humans.

As for the facts regarding Cancer, it is the fourth astrological sign of the zodiac. The sun transits through this sign from 21st June to 22nd July, meaning that all born on or between these dates are Cancerians. The Crab is a cardinal sign, as well as a water sign, along with Scorpio and Pisces.

Cancer’s ruling planet is the Moon, representing emotion, feeling, and the internal self. This leads Cancer to be a highly sensitive sign, who perceives the world by intuition as opposed to logic and reason. How and where this manifests in life varies depending on where Cancer energy is found in one’s chart.

In my descriptions, I will touch on how Sun, Moon, Ascendant, Mercury, Venus and Mars in Cancer gave an influence on one’s personality.

Cancer Sun

An individual’s Sun sign is the core of their personality, how their friends would describe them to others. In short, it is the very basics of one’s character. Cancer Suns have a very strong need for human companionship and understanding, which leads a good majority of them to be highly outgoing and extroverted people. However, if they are around unfamiliar people, or people unlike them, they are likely to become more withdrawn.

Those with their Sun in Cancer have a strong lust for adventure, much like Sagittarius. Due to this, they are generally unafraid of putting themselves out there. But, if anything goes wrong in the process, these people are notorious for their sensitivity. The Crab’s willingness to go out on limbs can lead to said limbs breaking from beneath them. No matter how many times this happens, they still somehow manage to dust themselves off and ignore the past. In some ways this is a wonderful display of tenacity, but it also shows their inability to learn from past incidents.

Cancer Suns also resemble Taurus in some ways. They both share a powerful need for security in their lives. Those with their Sun in Cancer need to feel like they’ll always have a safety net to fall into when they dig themselves too deep. This can make Cancerians arrogant in the sense that they are confident that nothing can go awry, because they will always have someone to retreat to. However, when this is not the case, they often find themselves alone and occasionally in deep trouble. Cancer Suns take great pride and joy in their ability to care for and nurture those around them.

Cancer Moon

The Moon sign allows us to see within another person, to have a sort of insight into their feelings and emotional processes. While the Sun sign shows the exterior, the Moon sign shows the interior that can be uncovered after the layers are removed. With Moon as its ruling planet, Cancer is seen most authentically in those with this placement.

Those with a Cancer Moon are able to genuinely feel their feelings. They find no need to distract themselves from their emotions, and in extreme cases choose to wallow in them instead. People with their Moon in Cancer rely on their hearts to guide them throughout life, which can potentially allow for them to make highly irrational and even self-sabotaging choices. They have a very strong moral code, and will stick to it at all costs. These people are their own worst enemies.

Prone to mood swings, those with this placement often contradict themselves. One minute they will allow everyone to see them for them, and the next minute they’ll be completely emotionally unavailable. Cancer Moons are rather perceptive of the people around them, and may be at risk of becoming nosy as a result of this ability. They’re also quite good at reading their own feelings, but are certainly better at counseling others as opposed to themselves. Can be passive-aggressive if taught not to act on their emotions.

Cancer Rising/Ascendant

The Rising sign, also called the Ascendant, represents physical appearance, first impressions, and what could be interpreted as superficiality. Acquaintances or strangers may guess your Ascendant to be your Sun sign, as they only know you on the surface rather than any deeper level.

Cancer Risings tend to be very guarded individuals, and dislike flaunting whatever their true colours are for the whole world to see right off the bat. Unlike having Sun in Cancer, these people appear very introverted and prefer not to interact with the unfamiliar. Regardless of gender, many Cancer Risings have very traditionally feminine mannerisms. These people take offense to many things.

Physically, those with a Cancer Ascendant have very round features, and an overall softness to their appearance. Can come across as plain or unexpressive, but most of their expression can be found in their eyes, which tend to be quite striking in contrast to the rest of them.

Cancer Mercury

Mercury illustrates the functions of the mind, such as communication, speech, and debate. People with a Cancer Mercury aren’t particularly practical people in any sense. They often make their decisions based upon their heart rather than their head, which can occasionally not be the best choice in the long run. They are very emotionally intuitive, with both themselves and others. The speech of those with their Mercury in Cancer is very gentle on the ears, and is generally delicate yet deliberate.

Cancer Venus

Venus dictates how one behaves in love, as well as the individual’s sensual side. Cancer Venus’ tend to be highly domestic in their displays of affection. They usually enjoy expressing their love in noticeable yet simple ways, such as cooking, tidying, or having a heart-to-heart conversation. People with a Cancer Venus are generally quite willing to make themselves vulnerable in their relationships, and will certainly expect the same vulnerability out of their partner. Have a pretty hard time going through breakups.

Cancer Mars

Mars represents sexuality, impulsiveness, and anger. Those with a Cancer Mars are a perfect example of playing the victim; whether they are or not. These people are capable of twisting what has been said against them into something the other person has done wrong. In this regard, they have the potential to be manipulative in order to get the outcome they want from an argument. Because of their sensitivity, they may feel as if they are being attacked when in reality they are not. People with their Mars in Cancer are capable of forgiveness, however they will certainly never forget.
