So I've been hearing rumors that Bucky might get killed off in the Thunderbolts, and I'm just going to say it now, if those rumors end up being true, I'm fucking done with the MCU. I've been a fan of the MCU for over 5 years now, and in that amount of time, I've seen almost every single movie in the theaters. It's one of my biggest special interests (I have no taste, I know.) But even as big of a fan as me has to admit that quality has gone down post Endgame (not to say that they haven't made good movies since then: No Way Home is one of my favorite MCU movies!) but the focus now seems to be quantity over quality. Not to mention that the MCU has made multiple shitty choices recently and killed off so many of my favorite characters that killing Bucky would just be my last straw. I would still interact with the fandom and rewatch my favorite movies, but I would be done going into the theaters and done wasting my energy on a dying franchise. And I know I'm not alone in this sentiment. When will the people behind superhero media realize that death isn't the only ending for these characters? Bucky deserves a happy ending. It's disgusting to have a character who had endured and overcome years and years of brainwashing and torture, only to kill him. He deserves better. If he dies, I'm done.
Honestly, if I ever finish any of my fics and post them I will be so torn between wanting to share them with you all to hear what you think and the ultimate need to hide and just stay anonymous out of fear that the fic sucks
