you're absolutely not deflecting, this is super important. so many european countries claim equality and good healthcare while also actively killing trans populations with medical neglect and gatekeeping.

i mean that’s a long perfectly straight line, was it done free hand? was it done in a single masterful stroke leaving the same thickness of paint the whole way through? are the edges of the line sharp enough to warrant the use of a magnifying glass if you were going to search for errors/rough spots?
and if the artist didn’t paint free hand, or if it were done in multiple strokes with different thicknesses of paint, or with purposefully rough and uneven edges, why?
what about the colour? the position of the line on the canvas? the width of the line? the choice of leaving the rest of such a large canvas blank? there’s so much to consider

i need you all to be aware that a survey on Holocaust awareness in the Netherlands was recently commissioned by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany and the responses are frightening.
(as a reminder: more than 75% of Dutch Jews were murdered in the Holocaust, which is the highest percentage of Jewish Victims per country in Western Europe. it’s also where Anne Frank lived and went into hiding before she was deported.)
according to the study,
23% of Dutch Millennials & Gen Z (12% overall) believe that the Holocaust is a myth or has been greatly exaggerated.
22% of Millennials and Gen Z (12% overall) believe it is acceptable to support neo-nazi views.
54% of all respondents do not know 6 million Jews were murdered. 29% believe it was 2 million or fewer (that number jumps to 37% when only looking at Millennials and Gen Z).
only 50% of all respondents support recent efforts by Dutch public figures to acknowledge and apologize for the Netherland’s failure to protect Jews during the Holocaust.
53% of all respondents and 60% of Millenials and Gen Z did not list the Netherlands as a country where the Holocaust took place.
Holocaust denial and erasure is getting worse. I would expect this from the USA maybe, but i’m surprised and very very concerned to see this coming from the Netherlands, which is very highly ranked in terms of education and research. please like and share and post about this, we need people to know.

I would not rely on TV Tropes as an unbiased source. Wikipedia simple says his species is officially “rooster” and mentions a Leghorn being a breed of chicken. TV Tropes probably thinks the Cornflakes chicken is a RIR too.
I am potentially willing to concede he is a “barnyard mix” (cross between breeds) and his father, Harold Leghorn, was a leghorn and his unnamed mother was a RIR or other dark variety.

Sometimes it’s 1:30 am and you own chickens and you’re drinking whiskey in the bath tub and accuracy about iconic fictional chickens is the hill to die on, ok, and that’s why I love Tumblr.
I keep thinking about the fact that when I was growing up, "chickenhawk" was slang for a well-to-do older gay man who exclusively went after/dated twinks - like a sugar daddy, kinda, but with the implications that a chickenhawk can take advantage of a twink's naivete - and I spent a while last night while I was stoned trying to figure out what a "baby chickenhawk" was and why one would be going after obvious papa bear Foghorn Leghorn.
P.S. I know it says his S.O. is "Miss Prissy" and that is the most drag queen name so my point stands
