Set in a modern college setting, Shannon Holmes and John Watson meet for the first time as college freshmen, when they become roommates. They must navigate each others personalities and learn to live together, while also attempting to save one of the classmate's lives.

For those who may be sad there isn't a new Phoenix Wright Game yet even after Layton and Ghost Trick are coming back... Like last we saw the Law agency they were literally being on the verge of being killed by a tyranical ruler as public enemies in a country where they got 1st person POV of the dead by doing a little dance. Guy's on a sabatical.

Level 5 really just showed a five second clip of Layton standing there. No gameplay footage. No release date. Not even a plot synopsis.

They knew all they needed was Layton to smile and tip his hat at us and we'd all go wild. Just absolutely feral.

They know their audience. And they knew the fandom would collectively loose their shit about it.

Imagine if, in the LMJ game or anime, Kat was approached by a 10/11 year old girl. The girl is short with brown hair and dark blue eyes. With her roaring appetite and thirst for adventure, she reminds Kat a lot of herself… and of someone else.

The girl insists on becoming Kat’s ‘apprentice’— much to Ernest’s dismay. (She’s stealing all of Ernest’s errands around the office!) She and Ernest have a relationship that is also familiar to Kat… Maybe it reminds Kat of herself bickering with Alfendi?

The girl often mentions her mother— Kat can tell the two of them must be close— and her father, who left before she was born. Kat vows to help the girl find her father, though Sherl tells the girl not to hold her breath. (Kat hasn’t even started on his case yet!)

Eventually, Kat and Ernest meet the girl’s mother— Mary, a thirty-something woman with purple hair. She thanks Kat for keeping an eye on her daughter, as she’s often busy with ‘work’ (which consists of trying to locate her missing husband). Kat sympathises with Mary, having lost her father and uncle.

Eventually, it’s revealed that Mary is, obviously formerly, Marina Triton— and her daughter is Luke’s daughter.

Together, with Kat’s help, they track down Luke and Layton, rescuing them. Luke meets his daughter for the first time when he wakes up!
