Are there "Marvel Architects" circa 2016, and if so, who are they?
Like so many, and often so willingly, you’re confusing a one-time ad campaign spotlighting some of our then-current writers with some manner of actual anointed position.
I think the willingness comes from the period from Avengers Disassembled through Civil War where it at least seemed like Bendis was setting the tone for what felt like most of what was happening in Marvel. Writing what turned out to be really flagship books and big events that were generally well received.
There are other Marvel writers who have had big stories run over multiple books like Hickman and Remender too (Secret Avengers, Uncanny X-Force, Uncanny Avengers, AXIS even though at times both of these felt like they were a little orthogonal to the rest of what was happening up until the event books). Is that just up to the “vision” of the creators, or is it part of an overall editorial approach?
