I like the headcanon of Rey, not growing up in a culture where makeup was a thing, initially sees lipstick as something to eat. But I equally love the headcanon that Rey figures out just what lipstick is typically used for and tests out how longwearing it is on Finn.

#Finn ends up leaving Rey on Takodana and went to train with #SidonIthano and #Quiggold as a pirate in the Outer Rim. He has now become a strong and skillful fighter and has now pledged to fight the #FirstOrder with his new strength. He’s now earned the notorious title, “The Phasma Slayer” and will fight to oppose the First Order- for a good price.

In terms of Finn and Rey and the Resistance… at this point in the story I think what attaches them to any of it is the people they care about. It’s not the fight or the goals of the Resistance. They got pulled into it all in TFA but it wasn’t their decision to join and commit their lives to this fight. They did all of this bc they cared about someone, not to help win this war. So in this sense it’s not illogical that they need to find their own place in this … and that they do not simply identify with the Resistance’s take on things.
