[unhinged but sane]

In case this line from Pride and Prejudice couldn't catch your attention earlier, here it is:

"Is not general incivility the very essence of love?"

Elizabeth to her aunt Mrs Gardiner telling how Mr. Bingley offended ladies at his own ball by not asking them to dance and she spoke to him twice without receiving any answer because he was so engrossed by Jane that he grew inattentive to other people.

Chapter 25

So if your man doesn't ignore the whole world to just look at you, he ain't your man yet .!.!.!.!

Do you think you have more faces or more names in your head?

I guess I've more names in my head because of the books. Though I always associate a face to all the names, however most of the times it's the same face so I think there are more names in my head.

My friend's reponse - Yeah i also have more and more names but my reason is....I'm not good with faces....like tbh i do not even look at the faces ...idk why but i avoid looking at the faces

Like ...to me personally it kind of relates to how close i am with the person.......if I'm close or I intend to ....only then i will actually look at the face with the intend to remember

I always wanted to be like Taylor Swift.

With my poor writing skills and terrible voice, I'm quite close to impersonating her. All I need is to learn how to play guitar, which will be the worst of all the skills I've.

The only difference between us will be she's bomb af at writing, singing and playing guitar while I'll prove to be disaster. But but both of us will have the same skills.

I choose ebooks over physical books all the time while reading smut so that after my death, my family doesn't find out about the things I read, enjoyed and replayed in my mind while alive; and asks the priest to send me to heaven.

One thing to notice in P&P is how Darcy started to fall for Lizzy. He is acquainted with 3 women only, as far as we know; Mrs Hurst, Miss Bingley and his own sister and being with them for a long time led him believe that he can predict women's reactions. For example, when Darcy tells Miss Bingley that Elizabeth's eyes have caught his attention, she immediately wished him joy on the prospects of marrying Elizabeth and Darcy was expecting this. He knew that she will not take a moment in ridiculing him for appreciating Elizabeth and will jump to scheming them being married. HE EXPECTED THIS FROM MISS BINGLEY AND SHE PROVED HIM RIGHT. She agrees with him on all ocassions and is desperate to win his attention because she likes him.

However Elizabeth doesn't wish to be the object of his affection, and therefore finds joy in ways, she thinks she can disappoint him. For example, on the third evening of her stay at Netherfield when Jane was ill, Elizabeth joined everybody in the drawing-room where Miss Bingley and Mrs Husrt were performing on the pianoforte. Dracy asked her if she felt to seize such opportunity of dancing a reel but she made no answer and when Darcy repeated the question she said she knew he wanted to hear 'yes' so she said she did not want to dance a reel at all.

Similarly when she was asked to take a turn around the room with Miss Bingley and Darcy refused to elaborate what he meant when he said he would like not to interfere with their two motives of walking; she did not press him to explain. She even asked Miss Bingley to disappoint him by not asking about it.

Instead of agreeing or adding to what Darcy believes, she leads the conversation based on her beliefs and opinions.

So, the Darcy who's always certain of a lady's reaction in certain situations is caught off guard when he meets Elizabeth who is not always agreeing with him and doesn't respond in the manner, he expected. I think he started liking her more when he found his misconceptions being proved wrong.

Thank you for reading the half wit-TED TALK

People should be allowed to speak another language only after they've mastered it. They should be severely punished for making any mistakes, even though it's their second or third language. Please hear me out before you call me annoying or stupid.

I'm on a trip with my college friend and we are staying in a hostel which has a game room. We were sitting in one of the sight seeing places last evening, chatting with fellow travellers and suddenly she said "Let's go to the PLAYROOM AND HAVE FUN." And 23 people turned their heads towards me and never before in my life I recieved this variety of expression in less than a minute and I wanted the earth to swallow me whole.

My sister in christ, that's GAMEROOM not PLAYROOM 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I'm re-reading P&P and this is new revelation I came across. I think we have been judging Mrs Bennett very harshly. What was a mother of 5 girls supposed to do when her husband didn't worry at all about their future? She was lacking in manners and appears greedy and materialistic but which mother will not want a wealthy man for her daughter? Her manners were not the best and she was biased with her children but she wasn't a bad mother. She cared for the girls and wanted a good fortune so that they don't have to suffer. She raised 5 girls without a governess and two oldest of them were very elegant and agreeable and perfect according to all the standards of a society, the third was decent enough to not ridicule her family. The youngest two were a little too free-spirited which might be because of the fact that there were already 3 girls to take care of by the time Lydia and Kitty were born and Mrs Bennet couldn't take as good care of them as the other three daughters. We can see how little excited and concerned Mr Bennet is with family matters. I doubt he was very helpful in the bringing up 5 daughters and Mrs Bennet had to do most of the things alone which might have made her a little annoying by the time she reached middle age. I think we can be a little compassionate to her and cut her slack. Instead of hating her, I would try to understand her. What do you guys think???

Thank you for reading this half witTED TALK.

I'm going through your blog and I've decided we're friends now😂

Heyyyaa @facepalmmylifeu 😁

I opened my tumblr today and for the first time in months saw icon of 99+ notifications and at that moment I knew either I've been identified as a potential nymphomaniac for the porn bots or a neurodivergent awesome person has decided we are made of same dust. I'm really relieved its the second. I'm still going through your dashboard and I assume its very safe to say now that we would love taking an unhinged spiral to the inferno together. I'm plagued with indecisiveness as well so I'm glad you made such a wonderful decision to adopt me.

Let's be besties <3

Ever wondered how patriotism is endorsed but casteism is not???

Like if you care for your country and want your country to be superior in every sense then you're a good person but when you want your race/religion/caste/gender/sexual preference to be superior above all then your mentality sucks?!?!?!?!?

P.S. - I don't want to imply that we shall accept racism or casteism or any other notion which considers any other person lesser than one based on these criterias. But just want to ask how come patriotism is different from all other feelings????

Thank you so much for coming to my half-witTED talk

When Lizzy refuses Darcy's proposal and he realises his arrogance and negligence has hurt her pride and feelings

Darcy: I'm sorry Ms. Bennet. You're right! I've no excuses. I was totally over the line.

Lizzy: Mr. Darcy, over the line?????? You're so far past the line that you can't even see the line. The line is a dot to you!!!!!
