As we approach pride month please remember that companies don’t care about us

Well to be fair they care about us as much as they care about anyone. The fact that they realize we’re a demographic to be marketed to on our own rather than lumped in with straight people does serve to legitimize us in the eyes of society.

The double edged sword of living in a capitalist society, if the corporations say you exist then you do, otherwise they wouldn’t spend so much money trying to get us to spend ours.

When you know you’re just seen as a dehumanized source of revenue by the oppressive capitalist elite but so are straight people:

Theory regarding Pink Diamond’s reveal

Okay first off, SHE LOOKS AMAZING!  HOLY COW I CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE MORE!  *cough* okay, but I have a couple things I want to run by the fandom here.  *cracks knuckles* here we go…

Okay, everything we’ve seen with Pink Diamond up until now, she’s had this design:

She’s BIG, has a nice perfectly shaped diamond at her waist, and huge spiky hair.  But the Pink Diamond we were introduced to today:

She is smol. Much smaller than Yellow Diamond, judging by the punch crack in the glass was probably made by someone no bigger than Stevonnie.  And her gem?  Is not a full diamond like Blue and Yellow.  Her spiky hair is also not prominent, but rather soft and fluffy kind of like lion but i digress.

Now, if we flash back a few episodes to when Peridot was first unbubbled, there’s something here I think you’ll like and maybe some of you might see where I’m going with this.

These two gems are singled out in the background quite frequently throughout the bubble room and yes one does look like pink diamond but that’s not what I’m getting at here….But let’s say for example these two gems were standing next to each other.  The one with the pink gem has her gem placed in her stomach, and so does the one with the blue cone gem.

What if the two fused together?

They would create the perfect DIAMOND SHAPE depending on placement.  AND WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE TAKE TWO SMOL GEMS AND FUSE THEM TOGETHER?

They create a BIGGER, STRONGER GEM who’s appearance changes to fit both original gems, and retains gem placement.

PINK DIAMOND. IS A FUSION.

Pink wants her own planet, her own army, to rule.  But she is smol.  And by the way Yellow treats her, possibly defective or “off-color”.  So she maybe meets another gem, maybe with a cone shape that is in the opposite direction of her upside down gem.  They fuse, creating one PERFECT DIAMOND, which makes her TALLER, BIGGER, STRONGER, POWERFUL.  Maybe “other gem” has spiky hair.  The Pink Diamond we’ve seen before this new episode would match that description.  She’s going to be able to take over planets now.

But here’s the thing too.  Is she’s still that small little off color diamond.  And homeworld HATES FUSION.  Why do they hate it so much?  Why do they see it as an abomination?

BECAUSE IT WENT WRONG WITH PINK DIAMOND. and maybe they had her shattered for it…..

foreshadowing much?  The mirror breaks in to 7 pieces as well.  Someone….some GEM is the other half of pink diamond.

I think I now understand why the Beta Kindergarten was so rushed. Not only was it an emergency, but I think Pink’s bratty attitude was also a huge contribution.

Pink: I want my quartz soldiers right now!

Somebody: They won’t turn out right if they’re rushed.

Pink: Now!!!!

There’s more to this than I originally thought.

Now let’s take what we’ve learned, and apply it to what we know.

We know that Yellow Diamond, Blue Diamond, and White Diamond have conquered a number of planets.

But no, not Pink Diamond.

From what we’ve learned, she was the “youngest” of the group. She had no prior experience. Still, she demanded an army, and a planet. Even if she was the youngest and inexperienced, she was still a Diamond. She wanted to be able to her part as one.

So they gave her a planet.

Earth.

But I’ve seen this scenario play by so many times before. What happened is becoming more and more clear.

Pink Diamond came to conquer Earth, and instead came to love it.

But the other Diamonds, her “Older sisters”, of course would not allow her to keep the planet as it was. It was her job as a Diamond to terraform it. The job that she herself, said she deserved. But Pink Diamond wouldn’t do it.

So they came up with a compromise.

“How about we let you keep some of the inhabitants?”

That’s why the Zoo exists. Pink Diamond couldn’t save the Earth, but she could at least save some of the things that called it home.

Pink Diamond may not have been the Earth’s savior, but I’m not sure if she was it’s conqueror either. Or at the very least, she didn’t want to be.

There’s still so many missing pieces, but we’ll just have to wait for them to come together.

Last, but not least I present to you Blue Diamond. Now people say what about Pink Diamond? but I’d honestly rather get a canon confirmation of who they are before I’d make an animation of it. I feel a bit disappointed by this one. Due to the simplicity of it in comparison to the others, I found it difficult to make it as exciting but…ah well.
