It doesn't matter whether said movies and series people have social commentary, allegories and metaphorical meaning. If people don't like them, then they'll dismiss them as "torture porn" and easily shut down any earnest conversation around them.

There's nothing wrong with people who don't want to see graphic depictions of stuff that happens in real life and thus makes them uncomfortable. There are movies and series out there for everyone.

That being said, calling any show or film pornography—something that is completely devoid of any meaning and is only there to deliver sex scenes—is a myopic insult to storytelling.
